Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kate - Posted on 13 June 2025
I recently registered at Croft Medical Centre after moving from another local practice and I’m so glad I did - they are such a huge improvement. I had a telephone consultation as I had a condition that prevented me from leaving the house. The GP called me, listened to what I had to say, clearly explained what was wrong with me, the possible causes and the implications, and sent a prescription to my local pharmacy. Previously I saw a nurse for a skin complaint. She carried out a very thorough review and diagnosis. I would happily see her again as she was so professional and well informed. I don’t need to see a doctor every time and I was reassured that the nurses and other staff can treat me just as well. I’ve found all the staff to be professional and caring, both the clinical and non-clinical. After such a negative experience at my previous practice, this has been a refreshing and reassuring change. Thank you to the surgery and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Review titled Doctors appointment and no callback
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 June 2025
Been trying to get to see a doctor for my disabled son who has special needs since January, given nurse practitioner each time (no offence they are lovely) but feel should be able to see a doctor. Son still has same problems and we feel we should be able to see a doctor anyway. Last time called on Friday 7th June, from 8am l opted for the call back, went through the procedure, call back set etc. Still no call back by 10ish. My husband called on his phone, eventually got through by 10.20, when we asked about not receiving call back, they said didn’t know why that was and queried if we had actually done it correctly, we had. Not even an apology just not taking any responsibility for it. Consequently even after pushing us for reason why we wanted an appointment, they said they were all gone! How do you actually get a doctors appointment as we have tried and tried?

Good morning Patricia We apologise for the problems with our phone lines today. Unfortunately this was out of our control as it was a national problem with our phone contractor. We weren't even able to log on to put a phone message on to advise patients. We can assure you that we were fully staffed and tried very hard to get to calls as and when we were able. We can advise that the problem has been fixed and our phone lines were up an running about 0920. If you wish to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us at admin.croftmc37@nhs.net

Review titled Not good
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I needed a doctor to call me and they called me for less than a minute and disconnected, didn't give me 2 minutes to attend the call, phone was with me, my ringtone is loud and yet heard nothing due to the duration of the call. I'm very surprised as every person's issue should be taken seriously as it's a GP. Week has gone by and my skin has been left without being looked or prescribed anything. The reception staff need to take the job seriously too. Making mistakes shouldn't be happening. My exzema didn't get any better afterwards. I may have needed some antibiotics but I don't know.
