    Imputing my repeat prescription in on 15/04/2024 System online says it has been sent to pharmacy I checked with pharmacy they have not received it phoned Surgery to be told it has been post dated for next Wednesday . The. Item I need is insulin for my diabetes I will run out over the weekend thus I am trying to sort out . Spoke to someone at surgery they don’t no why it has been post dated . With diabetes you do not know. How much you will use surgery totally unhelpful in the end they have issued a emergency prescription no one should have to beg to get items that are on a repeat prescription and have been for 30 years shocking

    Husband in total agony and the snotty receptionist would not help and made it very awkward and to top it all never put him down for a call back from a doctor

    Today I phoned for an appointment and was given a slot at 11.20, I was in my appointment by 11.25 and was treated with respect by the nurse practitioner, she examined me in a very experienced manner and gave me her opinion.thank you very much for your professional advise

    My attempts to make any contact with a medical practitioner week commensing 13th November failed completely. E Consult was not available at all. Nor was I deemed by reception staff to warrant a call back. I was offered a bookable appointment for 15th December! I am again in the same position with E consult and access to a doctor to set up pain management. E consult capacity already reached at 8.40am! In addition to the anxiety and frustration, the reception staff have no empathy what so ever. ' there is a nationwide shortage of doctors' was the explanation today. It is not the fault of reception staff, but their attitude towards patient is ! It is completely unacceptable to have non medical staff making serious decisions about my ability to seek medical help and doing so in such an uncaring way. I believe Consett medical centre should be placed under some special measures as they are not capable of supporting their customers base safely. If a school was short of teachers to this degree, it would I'm sure be closed.

    Was put in with a Locum doctor who started telling me I had a condition that Im quite confident I dont have, completely not linked to what I was there for , he could not help me, I don't feel he listened to or heard what I was telling him, no further forward after weeks of feeling unwell, pointless, seriously considering changing medical surgery and getting a second opinion

    I have been on hold for an hour just to ask about a prescription, I went from 3rd to 1st and spent 45 minutes when there was no one ahead of me. It’s ridiculous I have an appointment for next month that’s the best they can do for someone to get seen. It’s outrageous and disgraceful, no wonder there’s so many people complaining

    What has happened to this surgery? 2 years since i last visited, but found on my recent visit,receptionist very loud and rude,and one other staff member leaving a lot to be desired when it came to cleanliness,less than satisfied by the treatment i got,will try my best to avoid going to this place in the future,trying to gain access to see a GP ? probably easier to get an appointment to see the Pope !

    Today , I was at the toilet being sick When I missed my econsult telephone call from a Dr so I rang back and the woman told me off for not having my phone with and went on to say next time have your phone with you I haven't got time to take your call . Her tone with me was not acceptable!

    Most telephone staff talk to you with a attitude. I've requested prescriptions and waited 4-5days then phoned to find it's still there but not signed by gp. I recently had a lung scan and it was coming on for 4 weeks with no sign of results so I phoned surgery see if they had them and the lass on phone replied "look at it this way no news is good news" that's disgusting. They have staff training every week they should get training in telephone manners on how to speak to people properly.

    You can never get an appointment at this surgery due to lack of appointments including consultations. You ring ages on a morning and never get through as the phones are so busy - everyday of the week. When you eventually get through they tell you there are no appointment left. They advice you to fill in e-consult which is also not effective. This is because they are limited to the amount of patients it deals with per day - not enough for demand. As a last resort when you do approach staff some of them are often rude and unhelpful. They talk at you instead of to you (however some staff are nice and professional). I understand they are busy however so are patients and they are also unwell and frustrated with the lack of effective practices in place. This surgery needs management to look into their current practices as they are not meeting the basic needs of the patients.
