Review titled Woefully inadequate
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 January 2023
As a family we have been patients of this practice for over 30 years, it has gone from outstanding to woefully inadequate, to disgustingly dangerous! The practice clearly has more patients than it can care for. Tried to book a relatively important appointlent for ongoing health concerns agter 2 hours on the phone i was told the next avalible appointment was 3 Weeks away At my last appointment i saw a Dr that won't take blood tests telling me "i dont do blood tests you to book an appointment with the nurse" futher 2 week wait and i was hurried out the door. Clearly the 6Cs don't apply to this surgery. Recently told a family member we have bo appointments and just to attend A&E for something that absolutely was not at A&E matter. A phone call to 111 and they said a GP from your surgery will call you back. And they did. So much for no appointments. As for the dispensary. Literally hours waiting to collect a prescription hearing patient after patient being told we don't have that in stock yet. Not like insulin or heart meds are important or anything. If the CQC did a surprise visit they would shut the place down. I am embarrassed to be a patient! This practice is going to cause significant harm to someone in there failings.

Review titled Embarrassed to call you colleagues
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 October 2022
After being with Comberton surgery for best part of 40 years the way the reception and pharmacy team speak to patients is hugely disappointing, I’m embarrassed to call you an NHS colleague. Two week lead time for prescriptions yet no warning given until you come to collect after the advertised time. You change rules without telling anyone leaving patients desperately in need of medication. You implement systems without any consideration for the patient. I’m ashamed and embarrassed for you. Shocking service to your patients.

Review titled Desperately Inadequate.
Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery takes three months to pass on vital information. Then another three months to do the same thing. I saw 'my' GP last week (after 11 week wait). She gave me another very important letter dated 5th May 2022 on 25th July 2022 can you believe? We spent ages going through my recent mastectomy, dislocated knee and depression. She promised to action several issues. Today I had to go and collect my four weekly prescription (in itself a terrible service as I live miles away and have to constantly make this journey), it hasn't been changed as promised and I'm now informed that my GP has left the practice. She only joined about 18 ago and I had to wait months for an appointment then. I have come away being told to ring them to check they have sorted out my prescription (now urgent) - they don't intend to contact me it seems. The total lack of care and consistency here is appalling. I am really trying to find an alternative.

Review titled Really good practice, with kind and knowledgeable doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5

This practice has been looking after our family for 7 years now, and it has always been outstanding. The team of doctors are without exception kind, caring and helpful. One one occasion a doctor made an appointment to see me before the usual start of clinic, and there has never been a time when our kids have been poorly that we haven't been able to see or speak to a doctor on the same day. When it matters we've always seen a doctor, and when it can wait an appointment has been made. I really can't fault them and recommend the practice to everyone.

Review titled Total dispensing failure including 24h option
Rated 1 star out of 5

Surgery refuses to allow online fulfilment of my repeat prescriptions. 24hr dispensing machine was put in to alleviate pressure on the dispensary, but last month they forgot to dispense mine to the machine, and this month the access code in my text message hasn’t worked, so I am out of medication once again. It is a shambles. This all leads to more and more phone calls to the overstretched front desk.
