I’ve been with Colyers lane medical centre for years. Since having the new system in where you have to do it online it’s so hard. I get for elderly they can call but it’s not just the elderly that struggle on what to do. I struggle to get an appointment for my son who is under 1, it causes me stress trying to find how to do it. I finally get an appointment after calling them and they sent me the link but they gave me an appointment I’m unable to do. Just sat on the phone for 18 minutes I heard to lady say “is it this Friday” and then put the phone down. I was then on hold for another 14 minutes, she pressed a few buttons and she ended it again. I have not had a call back either. This is ridiculous, I am sick on being on hold especially when I go to the doctors and they are sat next to the phone. This is unacceptable and I am fuming. I don’t have time to sit on the phone for a long time for them to end it. Definitely thinking about leaving them as this isn’t a good one to be with anymore. I also had an appointment for my son and the doctors said to me “is this you first” I took that as he thought I was being over the top and just said it’s a cold. He wouldn’t refer us to anyone, we’ve been in and out of hospital for 6 months for the same reason. However, it’s not just a cold, this has been taking further by professionals and have finally got the answer.

When waiting for my appointment a lady who had a time after me went in then a man with an appointment after mine went in: receptionist just said he knows you’re here. Which makes the whole experience worse. I left as I was fed up with waiting and watching other people go in. Appalling service not one receptionist approach the doctor to say you missed someone.

Lovely doctors very helpful. The receptionists are very nice. Only drawback i have some times is waiting for 20 minutes finally get answered turn round and say all appoinments have gone bit annoying after waiting 20 minutes ring at 8.00

I am extremely disappointed with the service/lack of service I have received today. My daughter requires her tonsils to be removed, and unfortunately with the 4 months it took for the referral date to come through and the actual consultant appointment date of December, which now takes us well over a year, I am having to go down the private route. To do so I need a private referral letter from the GP, to do so an appointment is required, so after being offered an appointment for 10 days after my call, the receptionist kindly popped me on the waiting list and I did happen to get a appointment after a few days of unsuccessfully trying when the lines open. However, when I got there I was left waiting for well over half an hour with no explanation, in the end I had to leave & ask that the I can am called, I just need a letter so not sure why they insisted on face to face (my daughter was in school anyway so no point actually seeing me f2f??), what I don't get is why offer an appointment time if you're not going to stick to it? Don't get me wrong I know we need to wait sometimes but not that long, especially when the GP had no one in with her! So as it stands, I am still waiting for my call!
