  1. Review titled Awful practice, no chance of speaking to a doctor.

Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionists never answer the phone, if you take anti-depressants they randomly remove from repeat and don't inform the patient so you end up running out every few months. Impossible to get an answer when calling. Now been told antidepressants can't be on repeat, I only get provided two weeks at a time. Been calling for 20 minutes no answer trying to order medicine. At no point over the last year have I managed to speak to a doctor, only an assistant. No follow up on appointments, no treatment plan. The receptionist will only book the gp assistant once you are desperate and on the verge of tears.

  2. Review titled Great improvement

Rated 4 stars out of 5

To be honest i have had a few bad experiences in the past but my last two have been the complete opposite. I had to deal with two new receptionists, one over the phone, which call was answered pretty fast and the second in person at the surgery and they were both helpful and very kind. I hope they keep up with the improvement. PS the place does need some refurbishment.

  3. Review titled Phone not answered

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Often when I call the surgery, the phone is not answered. The phone would ring and ring and then just disconnect. Other times the phone would ring and the call gets answered and hung up or just hung up. It is incredibly difficult to get hold of anyone at the surgery and when calling to request medication,is near impossible. Most of my medication cannot be requested without calling the surgery and I fear that I won't be able to get my chronic medication.

  4. Review titled Truly Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

I don’t even know if this doctors is still open for GP services. I haven’t been able to have a review of my long standing condition since before covid I just get a phone call from a pharmacist every now and then on behalf of the surgery to reauthorise my repeat prescriptions. The last time I tried to get an appointment I was told it was being covered by a surgery in Braintree and someone would call me that morning but nobody did. I feel completely disconnected from the NHS and wouldn’t feel confident if I were unwell that I’d ever get an appointment here.

  5. Review titled used to be a great practice

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Had a phone call from a GP to say an appointment was booked. When I went in for appointment, they knew nothing about it. Couldnt fully understand person I was talking to due to accent. Hopefully I will get the promised phone call. Very cross as I had to get a taxi there and back as that time of day there were no buses so I wasted £10. Have been with this surgery a long time and never had any bother. Receptionist, although new, was very polite and helped me with a number of things. As two members of staff have left it will obviously take time to settle down and I do hope it again becomes the surgery it used to be.

  6. Review titled Very Helpful Response

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had some questions concerning blood test results. After an initial email exchange, the Practice Manager called me to discuss the issues. This was much easier than using emails and gave me the opportunity to ask several additional questions. All my questions were answered fully. Also, test paperwork was arranged as well as a medication review.

Myself and my family have been with this surgery for 36 years and never had any problems until now! Awful place. Can't get an appointment, have to be assessed. Which isn't good when a child is at school! Nurse only one day a week. Manager has now left and it's a shambles. Rude receptionist too. Such a shame as it used to be a lovely doctor's Will be finding a new GP ASAP

  9. Review titled Disgusted

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having been spoken to rude my the male doctor that I need to speak up as I’m not 87 years old. Having him not call me back when his booked to do so and therefore all weekend not having the medication that I need. And now today Monday eventually get through 5 times to have phone cut off after ringing for 4 minutes. The opening times are until 12:30 so why not answer to phone. I am moving surgery’s even my parents cannot believe how terrible this surgery is.

  10. Review titled This expanded team is tops for patients

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Joe - Posted on 29 July 2022

We have always had great doctors in this practice, a great practice manager, and great nurses. Quick to act they have identified for us some pretty hairy stuff, always available and quick to follow up on broader NHS service. My latest appointments related to symptoms from a hiatus hernia, having endured a horrendous cough. A change of approach from our relatively new doctor, based on personal experience, got to the source of the problem right away, with a change in medication for the hernia and associated asthma had an immediate impact and I already feel the horrendous journey is coming to an end. Well done the team. They are great with appointments, speedy and practical in dealing with the smallest (but important) requests, and now with that added feeling of diversity in approach. The best practice for getting appointments, professional, sensitive and receptive in approach, please keep it going. Well done everyone.
