The GP I have dealt with today has been so helpful and lovely that I feel I should review to give feedback on my experience.

  2. Review titled Absolutely brilliant practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I called up at 8am in the morning and got an appointment for 9am. I had a 40min conversation with my gp and she listened to all my problems and she didn’t make it feel rushed or any type of way. She did her best to give me the best care to her extent, she put a blood test on the system. I went to reception to book and they told me if I waited 10 minutes I could have the blood test the same day. The staff is so nice, receptionist was very good and patient with me. Would highly recommend!!!

  3. Review titled Appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Aneesa - Posted on 01 February 2024

I am a newly registered patient. I am also a pharmacist that works for a Gp surgery. I requested to switch my contraceptive pill and was informed I would need a pill review. I called for an appointment I was informed there is only one staff member that can complete this review and it would be a month for an appointment. I then asked if I could have an issue of one month of my previous pill to ensure I do not go without. I was informed that cannot happen because I am a new patient I need a pill review. I was told the gps will not deal with my request and basically to wait or go to a sexual health clinic. Do not register at this surgery I am now looking to register elsewhere.

Good morning, We are very sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice, unfortunately you have only left one name and we are unable to contact you directly to sort out the problems you have encountered. Your concerns seem to be around our reception team, please contact the surgery and speak to the reception team manager, Zaibun, who will listen to you and try to resolve your concerns. We do have online tools and also questionnaires on our clinical system to save time for our patients. https://www.clarendonmedicalcentre.nhs.uk/contraceptive-pill-review-form/ It maybe that you are newly registered patient and staff had limited access to the notes however does not restrict to provide the care we promise to our service users. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice. Qasim Khan-Alizai Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Not Happy At All

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called for my mum who has few long term conditions. Waited 30 mins for someone to answer, eventually when I did get through asking for an appointed, I had to go series of in dept questions with the receptionist, its like she was the doctor!! Only wanted an appointment so can discuss all these questions & answers with a doctor not receptionist while other staff are there in the background. No wonder it takes ages for them to answer the calls as the receptionist are diagnosing & assessing ppl on the phone, so what will doctors do then? The receptionist kept on saying she couldn't hear me even though I could hear her clearly. However after nearly an hour of messing around did manage to get an appointment but not a suitable time for me to come out of work & take my mum, I explained that its too short time for me to bring my mum, but she won't give me an alternate time, either I take this time or no appointment!! Had to agree. I then had to recall ( again waiting another 25 mins approx ) to say that I am not able to make it for that time. This time however I spoke to another person & she understood & did rearrange a suitable time. My point is why all this mess about for an appointment? I understand receptionist should ask reason for an appointment but this is like a full assessment on the phone what a doctor would do! Imagine you work full time & having to go through all this, its like you have to take a full day off to go through the full process to come & see a doc. What is in place for working ppl who can't spare time to go through all this?? I had to take the morning off to go through all this. Dissapointing!!!!

We have a care navigation triaging model which is an approved model of care by the NHS. We do recognise that patients would want to be seen by the GP however most of the times by presenting symptoms it may not be the GP who is appropriate. Care navigation is widely used and sign posts service users to the right person for the right care at the right time. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice.

The staff member I was speaking to was very helpful and cooperative, she listened and communicated very well and was kind and honest enough to ensure my matter was taken care off. Really appreciate it.

When i call early in morning at half 8 the phone line is always busy and then rings a few times and suddenly the line is dead. I think practice does this on purpose not to answer any calls

Good morning, we are very sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice, unfortunately you have not left you name so we are unable to contact you directly to sort out the problems you have encountered. Your concerns seem to be around our busy period and peak time. We have 7 - 8 members of team answering calls and we do our level best to answer every call. Sometimes, calls would drop due to the callers network or due to the position in the queue. Our staff do not have the ability to cut the calls or cancel the calls as thats how the system is designed. Please contact the surgery and speak to the reception team manager, Zaibun, who will listen to you and try to resolve your concerns. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice.

  7. Review titled Low Quality Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Mr Tariq Hussain - Posted on 04 July 2022

I've had Eye Surgery at Yorkshire Clinic and was given drops to use in my eye, four times a day and contact my GP surgery for more when required. I went to Clarendon Medical Centre to make a request and was told that my prescription will be sent on same day (as it was urgent requirement) to pharmacy and they will deliver the next day (Friday) I was happy with that but when delivery didn't arrive, I contacted the pharmacy and was told that no prescription had been sent to them. As this was Saturday and the clarendon Medical center was closed. I went without eye drops for two days (Very dangerous according to Pharmacist). I went to the pharmacy to collect my medication again on Monday and was told no prescription. I went to Clarendon Medical center again and was told oh sorry some mistake had occurred and prescription will be sent today. This medical center should not be playing with patients life. Lack of eye drops could be very harmful to my eyesight. please sort your selves out.

Good morning, we are very sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice. The practice relies on technology and sometimes processing is delayed due to the issues with spine or scanned letters not available to the clinician. We are sorry you have had a poor experience with our practice.

  8. Review titled A lot of help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Twice recently I have phoned up for urgent help with my friend for whom I am carer. On both occasions a doctor has phoned me back and prescribed antibiotics as an emergency. So glad to have the help. The receptionist was helpful too, and listened.
