  1. Review titled Experience for blood tests 18 July

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 July 2024

On the whole good experience. The practice nurse I saw was lovely and put me at ease straight away. Came for fasting blood tests and was asked if I had bought a urine sample with me. I hadn't as the gp I saw at St Mark's did not advise me of this and as I had already passed water was unable to give sample while there. Took away sample kit and it wasn't until after I had left surgery that I questioned whether to do it after having eaten or leave it until next morning so that it would be the first water passed, more in line with the fasting blood test. Have taken the decision to do it as the first wee of the day and bring down to surgery for the 19th of July. She may have said but I don't recall if she did or not. I did also ask her for a 2nd form for week 2 of blood pressure readings. again as per the gp at St Mark's, but as it had not come through by the time I got home at 11:45 called surgery and the receptionist sent it through for me. On the whole it was a good experience and the receptionist I spoke with was very helpful and I got the online form through immediately I had finished talking to her.

  2. Review titled Excellent Practice Nurses

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graham - Posted on 16 July 2024

As always, the practice nurses at Claremont Surgery are 1st class. Today I was treated as a patient/human being, not as the next job to be processed, with my wellbeing as the full concern.

  3. Review titled Brilliant doctors and nurses

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Basharat Nazir - Posted on 17 July 2024

In July 2024 I attended a nurse in person for blood sample and another nurse who called by phone to review my results. Both most professional and happily taking time to explain everything and guide as required. The appointment came via a text message, as my tests were becoming due, automatically instead of needing to remember and call the surgery. I feel very happy and fortunate to belong to Claremont Surgery. Good job all of you, hope you guys able to continue what you are doing. Bravo 👏👏👏

  4. Review titled Good service at Holyport

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 July 2024

Had developed an inflamed rash. Called 111 for advice in an evening and referred to out of hours doctor. By 0800 next morning doctor had called the practice with symptom details. By 1100 I had Holyort appt¬¬¬¬ and was prescribed some ointment. Problems with finding a local pharmacy that held in stock but surgery/Claremont found one. Unfortunately ointment on application was found to be unsuitable next day and I called Holyport for advice. Seen by another GP within 2 hours and alternative prescription made available. Speed of diagnosis and treatments fast and efficient. Both GPs professional, showed empathy and patience and were prepared to answer all my questions in words I could understand . Top marks for all concerned.

  5. Review titled Fast Track Referral

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chris Oak - Posted on 14 July 2024

My experience at Claremont Surgery relates to using the eConsult Service and a Fast Track Referral. Since it was my 1st time of using the eConsult Service I was grateful for the support provided by the Receptionist and the advice to use this service as being the most appropriate method to send the information to the GP. Following the assessment, the GP confirmed the need for a Fast Track Referral and immediately requested urgent blood tests, ultrasound and other medical investigations. The GP referral form was sent to the relevant Hospital department for their urgent attention. The whole process involved the professional commitment, communication and team work of all the staff at Claremont Surgery to ensure all the necessary medical investigations were completed. The management of the Fast Track Referral can only be described as exemplary.

  6. Review titled Obstructive Receptionist Referrals not done in timely manner

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tonya hird - Posted on 29 May 2024

I had a referral done which then, came to light had not been done correctly 2 months previously, now despite hospital calling over and over again for them to complete this, Secretaries and receptionist dont seem to be completing this request, stating the Doctor is sorting, then when you call back, they then tell you, its with the secretaries, despite numerous requests for this, they simply are unable or unwilling to complete a simple task, Letters have terrible spelling errors which can lead to misunderstanding, staff have now delayed my knee replacement due to not completing simple requests, i have now missed the deadline for the hospital to book my operation, so overall the service here seems totally inadequate. The person the hospital spoke to at Claremont actually told them, they dont know how to do a referral, something which the hospital staff were astounded by. My consultant tried to step in as well, this actually seemed to make things worse, staff at claremont are the most obstructed people i have the unpleasantness to come across.

  10. Review titled Great practice and speedy support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been so impressed by the surgery. I have been able to use the Econsult form and both occasions have been seen in person in a speedy fashion. It gives me such peace of mind to be seen so quickly and to have my issues effectively managed.
