I required help with my medication and received a call and I have say not only was my medication adjusted I was also given great advice on things I could do to help myself.

The practice is clean and friendly. Automatic on-screen check-in in the waiting room means you don‘t have to queue up for a receptionist. The physio is cheerful and kind, while at the same time making referrals and recommending exercises very efficiently. He communicates very well especially when explaining the causes of my symptoms. On leaving I felt much better than when I went in. The boost is psychological as well as physical.

The receptionists communicate well and are friendly and intelligent. The practitioners are very efficient at making sure you get referred to the correct part of the system (the NHS can be very confusing!) while being kind. They make me feel cared for and treat me as an active participant in improving my health.

This is the only receptionist I'd praise at this practice, she's been at Varma's for many many years and also shifted with them to city square, always helpful, manages to give appointments, makes it easier to deal with!

Busy, long time to answer the phone. Avoided giving me an appointment with a GP, fobbed me off with short term prescription, meaning I had to repeatedly get back in contact with them anyway. Acted like I was in the wrong for wanting to talk to a GP.

Called GP surgery for appointment, was given access to "call back service". I waited 40mins and no call back. So called them again and was in queue for 30 mins then I was cut off. So disappointing. Why is there no access to GP appointments online?

i had an appt for a blood test for which i was left on hold for almost 40 mins before i was able to book the appt - when I got the results a few days later and I tried to query some of them, i again, couldn't get through on the phone. I then emailed the surgery asking for the doctor to write an explanation. I was told I had to make an appt. as i was not able to get through, i tried the online appt option, i was given a ref no and was told, i would be contacted by 6.30pm on 25th. that didn't happen. the next morning i got a text message with a comment from one of the doctors which did not tie in with the results I received.

Absolutely awful! I had to go to the surgery last week (after repeated attempts to get an actual face to face appointment). Whilst there, I saw at least three people complaining to the reception staff for failing to do their jobs correctly. I have to make a follow-up appointment to book a blood test but can I get through? Of course not. Since merging, this surgery is dreadful, seriously thinking of going elsewhere, I can't believe how bad things have gotten!

Why did City Wellbeing Practice have to merge here? It's awful! I had to go to the surgery last week with my child (after repeated attempts to get her an extremely urgent appointment which ended up in me taking her to A&E). Whilst there, I saw at least three people complaining to the reception staff for failing to do their jobs correctly. I have to make a follow-up appointment to book a blood test but can I get through? Very disappointing service. Since they joined with Brayford square, their address has changed 3 times and they only notified me once. I was less than 10 minutes late because I went to the wrong address but they wouldn’t see me, however, they managed to waste over 30 minutes of my time telling me that I would get seen, then that I wouldn’t. Then the staff at the from desk went on to argue with each other because one of them seemed to think that I would get seen but another didn’t. Disgraceful service!!
