Overall the experience with the GP practice has been really poor of late. There seems to be a disconnect between the staff at the reception, the nurses and doctors. Things that usually should take a single or couple interactions are dragged over weeks between staff. Constant chasing is needed or you will be forgotten about. They lose things, they keep asking for the same information. Even just getting simple glucose checking prescription requested by the hospital on repeat has taken 3 weeks. Whilst I've been expected to go into the hospital with 4 weeks worth of blood sugar records I can only do 1. Also after attending a separate appointment to discuss an ongoing issue, the nurse was not sure why the appointment was made with them, so it had to be rebooked again. And this hasn't been the first time, it seems to be the process here at this practice. Not only is it frustrating and wastes everyone's time but I can see how inneffecient this is for patient and practice The front staff also keep losing things, they scan something and then when you chase for a reply they can't find it. They assume it's with the doctor or with someone else but cannot confirm, only for another week to pass to realise it's been misplaced and they need it again. Terrible experience!
