Last November i was diagnosed with a heart arrythmia and was prescribed beater blockers. I was told that if i started getting more breathless to go back to see the Doctor to have a higer dose prescribed. I have tried phoning many times without success and have been to the surgery to try and see the Doctor but the receptionist was very dismissive and extremely unhelpful. I came away without and appointment. Last week i had a cardioversion and since then i have become more breathless but i still can't get through to anyone at the surgery.

I have been with Chellaston medical for over 15 years and I have had good experiences every time. Today was outstanding, I spoke to a member of staff who was extremely polite and professional. My phone kept getting cut off but because we hadn’t finished our conversation she rang me back on a couple of occasions. She booked me an appointment answered all my questions . Well done for going above and beyond I appreciate your help today. Thank you

I called Chellaston Medical Centre and spoke to a member of reception team. She was kind and professional, found a suitable appointment for myself at convenient time. Unfortunately this appointment was taken before confirmed but she was able to find another for me. I then asked the receptionist to look back through my daughter's record to see who a particular appointment was with and if there were any appointments available with the same GP. The receptionist managed to get me an appointment within 2 hours. I am thankful to this receptionist for going through it all for me without any hint of annoyance at having to change records and scroll back through, and that she was able to secure that appointment so quickly for my daughter. The GP I saw was brilliant and really helpful taking his time to explain everything and giving me appropriate advise

Never any appointments online, you can no longer queue outside and get an appointment, can't get through on the phone. Utter shambles. I pay £1000's a month in tax i expect a basis service like being able to actually get an appointment without my blood pressure going through the roof at the actually thought of even needing to book a none existent GP appointment!

The staff always seem friendly and although they now offer a call back service rather than calling, it is still impossible to get an appointment. You're told to go online and book slots at specific times there's still no appointments. Call back specific days when the calenders are released, still no appointments. I've been trying for months ammd the only option is to go and sit in the walk in centre, which my reason for visiting doesn't suit. Its a shame, I'd really just like to speak to my GP, but I don't even know who that is any more.

I don’t have any complaints about the GPs themselves and if you want to see a nurse it’s not normally too difficult to book. However, it’s almost impossible to actually get an appointment to speak to a GP. You can only book appointments for that day on the phone. They won’t let you book in advance at all even for non-urgent appointments so you have to keep phoning back at 8am every day and sit on hold for ages only to be told that all the appointments for that day have already gone and you’ll have to try again tomorrow. The online appointment booking is just as bad. I’ve been trying to get an appointment for about 2 months now and keep the website open on my phone at all times and refresh it several times a day in the hopes that one day I might get lucky but so far no joy! I’ve given up and have now registered with another surgery in the hopes that I might finally get to speak to someone!!
