  1. Review titled Awful experience every time!

Has to be up there as one of the worst surgery’s in the country. Older receptionist thinks she’s clinically trained, is condescending and rude. Everything is ‘viral’, and don’t be expecting an appointment anytime soon. Whether your an elderly patient with walking difficulties, issues getting to the surgery or a one year old with a contagious infection you’ll be asked to go and sit for hours on end in a packed waiting room for the walk in. Took my 1 year old a week ago, told he had a viral infection causing the redness and gunk around his eyes. Turns out he has a very bad bacterial infection. They wouldn’t see him unless he sat amongst other children and elderly at said ‘walk in clinic’. I called 111 as I wasn’t prepared to sit for hours and risk him spreading it, or him catching something else lingering in the waiting area as he has breathing difficulties. 111 booked me an appointment : A Telephone consultation has been booked for your GP Practice for 15-Apr-2025. Please keep your line clear to accept the call where possible and do not attend the practice until you have spoken to them. If symptoms worsen please call 111. To cancel the call please ring your Practice ‘’ Catterick surgery manager called me back to say he had cancelled this appointment and I can attend the walk in if I’m worried?! He has no medical experience, other than his wife being a GP at the surgery herself. Google reviews tell you all you need to know about his manner when talking to patients. He thinks he’s above 111. Called 111 back with my concerns, they’ve booked a consultation with one of their own practitioners and are flagging up the surgery, as they themselves have said it’s ridiculous. Have registered at another GP. I’d advise everyone to avoid this surgery and its sister surgery ‘colburn’ like the plague.

After a serious injury to my leg, stitches, bruising, swelling and needing new dressing, advised by A & E department to contact GP. Was sent to colburn, back to Cattetick village. Needing to elevate leg was not possible after hours spent sitting and waiting. Reliable of friends and family to drive me to said appointments. Not adhering to consultants advise to elevate leg. Sick note was not available via app. Totally bad practice
