I had a GP appointment with a Dr. He listened to all my problems and tried to sort them out accordingly. Also, at each appointment he used a management plan sent via email which made me understand what are the future plans and how to take my medication as prescribed. Never seen anything like this or experience but it was/is very practical as I can go back and read it again. I strongly recommend this Surgery Practice. Also, the receptionists are very nice and have lots of patience.

How can CQC classify as "Good" a service that is always unavailable? How can I get to see a specialist doctor who understands the health problems I face. When an appointment is limited to 5 mins. I get referred to a clinic who sympathise with my plight but then say there is nothing they can do about getting expert opinion because the NHS has been degraded. "It's difficult" they tell me. What good is it for medics to just shrug their shoulders and apologise to patients?

Dear Mr Nelson, Thank you for making contact with the practice regarding your recent experience and sorry you have not been able to access the Ask My GP service when needed. Ask MY GP is closed once we have received the maximum number of requests for the day, our phone lines do however remain open for any urgent requests and we have a call back facility so you can wait in a virtual call. We also have some custom actions on Ask My GP that remain open depending on your request, such as booking a nurse appointment, if patients feel they have a UTI, existing referral queries, repeat medication requests, sick note requests, appointment cancellations and annual review bookings. I had arranged for a colleague to call you to discuss and help with your query when you raised this review, but they have not been able to make contact with you. If you still require help, please do contact the surgery on 01473 741349, where a member of our team will be able to assist you. Thank you for taking time to make contact with us and letting us know of your recent experience. After 8 wks self medicating for a viral throat infection, yesterday I felt well enough to have my flu jab. As I couldn't get it from my regular pharmacy, and the next one I tried had none left, I called in to Norwich Road surgery to be told there were no appointments until after March for this. Today when I received my regular prescription, the accompanying note said it would be available and to make contact with a surgery. Anyway I managed to have it at the 4th pharmacy I tried so hopefully covered. Communication issues?

A Dr at Chesterfield drive saw my whole family who had Strep A. He was so sweet with my children (which was much needed after weeks of illness) great with my Dr avoidant husband, and was very aware of my autoimmune disease so was able to advise me on some particulars for my care - which noone had told me in 10 years! He did not rush, and happily saw us all together (extended thanks to the receptionist who arranged this) was a much needed, personalised, human experience.

I just wanted to say thank you to the Cardinal Medical Practice for their kind and efficient service lately. My family have needed the doctors a few times lately and it is very easy to moan but I wanted to thank them. We have been seen on the day of enquiry and dealt with, with compassion and care. Thank you or helping us, especially when the NHS is under so much pressure.

Had an appointment to see a health professional at Norwich Road surgery on 21st December. It was a shock to find I was more unwell than I realised. Increadle initial treatment and reassurance from individual involved with my care, until ambulance arrived. Also like to thank the receptionist and other Health Professionals, who had to take on more care to other patients, while I was ill.

Called them today to book an appointment with a diabetic nurse to discuss the result of a c-peptide test. The person who answered the phone said I can not book an appointment as she said I have to use the ask my gp app, even though on their phone system it says to press 1 to make an appointment. I then asked if she knew the result and she said the result was no further action to be taken. This is very odd as I need to know if I’m resistant to Insulin or not producing enough Insulin. Hopefully can make an appointment with as my gp app as the last blood test I had before this they didn’t contact me for over a month and then when I asked for that result on the app I was told it’s low priority and wouldn’t give me the results and I would be in a app waiting list for that result. I gave up waiting for that and asked on the app for an appointment over the phone with a diabetic nurse who then kindly organised a c peptide test for me. Of which I can’t get no meaningful result. What a joke.
