    Impossible to get an appointment and this seems worse since combining the phone systems. Used to be 40 in the queue now 70. No opportunity to get an advance appointment, or to book online. Even the supposed econsultation is closed down before it can be accessed. Why take on more patients when existing patients cannot be seen.

    Hello. We are sorry to hear that you have been struggling to get an appointment with us. You are correct in that there are now up to 70 people in the phone queue at any time and this has increased from 40. This is because we have merged our three phone lines (one for each site) into one phone number and there are now more staff members answering the phone at any one time, meaning the average call wait is also faster as the number of calls being dealt with at any one time is greater. There is a call back option running for most of the day if you are between caller 20 and 70. The majority of feedback about our new phone system has been positive but we recognise in your case you have not found this to be the case and we are sorry about that. When our E-consult capacity has been utilised, we do turn this off in order to manage the current requests in hand. Demand across the NHS in increasing for all services and practices are not able to 'close their lists' very easily. We are trying to recruit additional clinical team members and will continue doing so. We hope you will see some personal improvement in the near future.

    Have been with this lot since December 2022, having given up with my last lousy surgery. Saw one very cold and unfriendly GP in January and haven't been near the place since, except to collect my prescriptions. (Certainly not seeing her again) Still, haven't a clue of who the doctors are, what they specialise in, where they are within the 3 surgeries, or the surgery times. No patient booklets or anything. The website is pretty useless. The only plus point, is the reception staff are all very pleasant ... just wish the GP's were. Typical NHS ... No Hope Service. !!

    Hello We are sorry that you haven't received a positive impression of our surgery. Our opening times etc are displayed on our website as well as the doctors details.     I have recently moved to the area and become a patient at Buxted Medical Centre. Everyone I have dealt with, for a variety of reasons, have been most helpful & friendly, following up missing paperwork from my previous practice for starters!! I was invited for a Covid jab and a flu vaccination one evening. All very organised and super efficient - I have been most impressed with everything, from reception to medical staff.

    This surgery has an extremely inefficient and inaccessible 'system' for booking appointments. Good luck if you have any kind of neurodiverse condition, they don't care. Last week I was on hold for over an hour before the call was disconnected- twice. This week I gave up after calling 25 times and the call being disconnected and went in. Receptionist was extremely arrogant and uncaring. She did not apologise or sympathise, and simply contradicted me saying 'they are answering calls'. I have the proof on my phone that the phone system was not working again. The surgery acknowledges this is a problem on this very website. Why lie to me? Besides which, 3 of them were just chatting away doing nothing at all when I walked in. She then haughtily told me not to speak to her like that- I was calm in tone, I had not raised my voice, I was not making comments about her, I was explaining that was going on and I had a right to be upset. She did not care. World Mental Health day today! I made a complaint last week which surprise surprise, no-one has responded to and am still waiting for confirmation of whether a prescription has been renewed two weeks later. This surgery is an actual danger to health and the receptionists urgently need proper training. I cannot speak about the GPs as I never actually manage to speak to one.

    We should be grateful if you would send an email to the practice email address for the attention of Martha Newman, Operations Manager together with a note of when you called in order that we can check our call recording system to check what may have happened. It is very difficult to investigate this without knowing who you are or which dates you are referring to. We are sorry you had such a difficult experience and that you are unhappy with the service you have received.

    A huge thank you to the lovely reception lady, who was so incredibly helpful when I called up for an appointment for my ill 19 month old son. Thank you so much for being so attentive and supportive - I was feeling unwell myself, and you made the entire experience easy and stress-free. You were so patient, and I really appreciated it.

    I have to attend for regular blood tests as I am receiving treatment for cancer. Extremely impressed with the nursing staff, caring, empathetic and efficient. I would highly recommend this G.P practice

    I contacted Buxted Surgery having experienced significant lower back pain. A Doctor called me straight away and, within a few short hours, had not only arranged for me to see a Consultant who was immediately available to meet with me but also an MRI scan for the following day. A slipped disc was quickly diagnosed and the doctor in question once again went out of their way to liaise with the Consultant to ensure the prescribed medication was available to me at the earliest possible opportunity. The Doctor, the receptionists and the pharmacy at Buxted Surgery could not have done more for me and, in my opinion, gave a first class service. Thank you.

    Happily entered the 'queue' at position 21 at 8:30 and managed to get to the number one position at 9:45 - not a problem until everything but a ring-tone started to sound and continued to sound for the next 15 minutes. By this time it was pretty obvious that either the receptionist had popped out for a cup of coffee or pressed the wrong button making caller 22 a happy winner. Will re-enter the queue after I have a cup of coffee and consider how sick I really am.
