Been at this surgery for years now , never had a problem , yes it is a busy place you can't always get through on the phone first time , the staff are always helpful and polite despite having to do a very stressful job

Dear Patient Thank you very much for taking the time to give us such positive feedback we are continually looking to improve our service to serve you better. We know that at times we do not meet our high standards, however we are constantly trying to improve both the experience and outcomes for our patients and for our tireless teams in the constraints we work within the NHS. We would be ever so grateful if you could contact us directly for ideas on how we can improve how we help support you and our wider community in most need. You may also wish to consider joining our Patient Participation Group. We are constantly striving to improve and part of this will involve introducing digital ways to provide a safe and personalised service to our patients based on need and would love your help in in providing as many appointments as possible. Again thank you for the kind words it means a lot to our hard working and sometimes tired teams as we try to do our best to be a compassionate and efficient service to all our patients and the communities we serve. Very well organised Flu and Covid Jab. No problem with booking an appointment at a time convenient for me. Also had a timely reminder. On the day I was in and out of the surgery in 5 minutes. Well done Burlington Road.

Went for my flu jab. All organised well. I have been with this practice since the 1960's, yes there are issues but what surgery doesn't have. I have a couple of long term illnesses and my reviews are always on time .

Went in for my flu and COVID jabs, I hate needles but the nurse was very good and talked (distracted) me throughout. Very efficient, I went straight into the nurses room, no waiting. Staff were lovely and helpful.

  6. Review titled Flu & Covid Autumn Booster

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Angela Dennett - Posted on 05 October 2023

A very well run Flu & Covid clinic at Burlington Road GP surgery. We had previously had a text, requesting not to arrive by car, as the clinic will be very busy. I arrived by taxi about half an hour before my appointment time. I joined a small queue and was quickly spoken to by a member of staff. I told them my name and appointment time, I was sent through to a waiting area. Greeted almost immediately by a nurse, I nurse doing the injections someone on the computer. All finished in a few minutes. Well done Burlington Road GP surgery. Previously quite cross with the practice as phone keep you hanging on for an hour without being answered then cuts off. Recently I have been receiving a text message with a link to enable me to book an appointment. This system seems to be working very well and avoids stressful long waits on the phone. I congratulate the practice, implementing this text system seems to have help solve the problem of long frustrating waits on the phone. I would rate the Flu/Covid clinic 10/10

It certainly seems to have helped sending text reminders regarding to expect the car park to be busy and links to book the appointment in the first place. I also hope the new phone system is making a difference Again thank you for the kind words it means a lot to our hard working and sometimes tired teams as we try to do our best to be a compassionate and efficient service to all our patients and the communities we serve. 8. Review titled Brilliant organisation.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tony Bruce - Posted on 06 October 2023

My wife and I recently attended the surgery for our annual COVID and seasonal flu vaccine. As always the organisation of the day was absolutely brilliant. We arrived at the surgery rather early for our appointment but this was not a problem and we were in and out in no time at all. Well done Burlington Road Surgery.

I attended a flu vaccination clinic recently and was asked if I'd like a covid jab too!...I said I would and was shown to a room where the staff were extremely friendly and professional, I had one injection in each upper arm and after a brief conversation enquiring about my glucose sensor I left after no more than 5 minutes...very happy with the process.
