Was at Tara about 10 10 am just leaving the surgery had a phone call from Peter street with an appointment for 11.20. The doctor I saw was extremely kind, and hopefully I will have now got the right diagnosis

Great practice, always willing to take the time to listen to the needs of patients. Seen in a timely manner. Friendly and approachable staff. Professional and meeting the needs of their patients.

Buckland medical practice has been my main surgery for over 40 years . I have always been given professional guidance and support throughout these years. The Gps have varied over the years, but all have been exemplary within their professional advice and support . They have always put my well being first, and should a face to face be required, then this will be recommended. I wouldn't want to be at any other practice other than Buckland Medical practice! The Doctors, nurses and receptionists are all exceptionally very good indeed, the staff always make time for you at this practice. Thank you all very much.

I have been with this practice for many years and each time the support needed is given promptly. My last communication with the practice was invaluable, as there had been errors made within the NHS ,and it was the Doctors and receptionists who resolved the problem. As this is often the case. The Doctors, nurses and receptionists are all extremely very good indeed . I wouldn't want to be anywhere else other than Buckland Medical service. Thank you very !

I dont know why people complain. Seen within 1 hour of completion of e consult. Dr requested a ultrasound which was done in 2 days

I’m a full time carer for my father (91). He has repeated UTI’s ,within 2 hours from first call to surgery Dr prescribed Anti Biotics for my father . Because of the prompt treatment given, we have very likely avoided a stay in hospital. I feel as a carer that it’s incredible and completely necessary to have a good relationship with the practice as part of my fathers care team. I can’t praise the whole team at Peter Street enough.

my wife and I both went for our blood tests and were greeted by a friendly receptionist and seen on time by the nurse - happy with our dealings with this practice

I had a phone call from a lovely |doctor who explained in detail my blood test results - I wasn't hurried and made to feel I was listened to - very nice Dr and efficient service Thank you !

Im a uni student in southampton, and had come home for the summer- however being so far away from southampton, i cannot get access to my own GP most of the time. Now thats a story for another day, but I am so thankful for Peter Street surgery under the Buckland umbrella of GP practices. In early September 2023, i noticed that my period had been rather… lengthy. My mother and I managed to get myself registered as a temporary patient on a Thursday midday, as we rushed to prepare as we had a holiday abroad planned the next week Tuesday! Now I usually have a regular cycle, 5 days etc etc. However this cycle was lasting over a week, at the time i made an E-consult, it had lasted around 10 days. I put in my e consult at around 0810 in the morning on Friday (the day after I was registered), and spoke to a Dr; we agreed to just keep an eye on things over the weekend as I didn’t want to take medication that may not be necessary, and in the future I may need further examination if my next cycle was as lengthy; understandable! Now, the weekend had been and gone, and i was still on my cycle, approaching almost 2 weeks bleeding. I decided to put in another econsult, as I wanted to see if i could take some medication to stop the bleeding and allow me to enjoy my holiday (that we would be leaving for the next day…). That same Monday, at midday i was phoned by a different Dr; we agreed that the cycle was abnormal and what the best course of action was. I was prescribed txa, which was sent to a pharmacy of my choice near where i was staying for the summer. I was able to pick up the medication on the same day and start taking it. The bleeding stopped about 3 days after i had started the treatment and I was able to enjoy the majority of my vacation abroad! tldr; This has probably been the best medical care i have received from a GP practice. They have been quick, understanding, they take the time to discuss options with you and they listen to concerns. Thank you Peter Street Surgery :) *The only downside to this practice is the attitude from the receptionists, however it seems to be the case with every GP practice these days, so please dont let them discourage you from this practice!!

We were moved from our previous surgery after moving out of their ‘catchment’ area. We moved to this surgery and couldn’t be more pleased. The help has been there whenever myself and my family have needed it. I dreaded moving surgeries, however, it was the best thing that could’ve happened! After waiting for many years for help for my child, we finally got the help after contacting the doctor at our current surgery. It felt like no one cared or would listen before. Thank you to all the staff
