I am very impressed at the way in which this practice is run. It is not necessary to always see a doctor, so the fact that you have so many different levels of care is outstanding. Great credit must be given to the reception staff who always listen and are so kind and compassionate and try to help as quickly as they can. Way back, about 6-7 years ago my husband had outstanding care from the doctor, when he diagnosed the correct ailment, a condition which had been overlooked only a week previously, but acted on without delay. The doctor even followed this up with two telephone calls to see how my husband was getting on. More recently we had one occasion when my husband saw a Physician Associate and just recently me who saw a paramedic. Both were very thorough and enabled both of us to start our treatment without delay. The fact that those who aren't doctors are mentored and overseen in their treatment is exemplary. GPs are so busy so if others can help take some of the burden off them is an ideal situation. We both feel that we are so lucky to have such an excellent group practice. Thank you.

Thank you to all the team for skilled, compassionate and supportive care of my 90 year mother this year. She has seen 3 of your doctors all of whom have been thoughtful & thorough & have helped her back to health after catching Covid from my family over Christmas. Everyone has been so helpful. We are all most appreciative & grateful. Thank you

when i arrived i was in a lot of pain and i explained my symptoms and he was very open minded and listened. he then went through a different approach compared to other doctors i’ve seen before and found after the problem after multiple years of being in constant pain.

I have had to consult Brookside a few times over the last couple of months, and each time my issues have been considered and a course of treatment proposed, with follow-up appointments easy to arrange. Indeed, in the last couple of appointments I have been able to arrange these follow-up appointments whilst still in the consulting room. My wife has also found a prompt service.

Physician Associate listened carefully and then gave thorough examination. Felt my voice was heard and we were working in partnership to improve my health. Booked my follow-up appointment straight away so I did not have to go back myself into the surgery booking system. She came across as very professional, helpful and efficient.

I have been suffering with eczema and the first 2 steroid creams did not cure the problem. Both times i phoned the surgery and the phone was answered promptly and a very quick appointment was made. On Wednesday 3rd January and as i was passing the surgery i called in to book an appointment. The receptionist was very helpful and patient as i explained my concerns about my hands. She asked a few questions about my situation and the offered me an appointment on Friday 5th January. I was given 2 time slots to choose from and I chose the one suitable for me. At my appointment i had to wait about 5 minutes before i was called in. The nurse was very good and she referred me to the RBH for an appointment to see a Dermatologist. She also gave me prescriptions for antibiotics and a stronger steroid cream. So its the 10th January and my hands are improving daily, not cured yet but I'm on the mend. Thank you Brookside i have been with you since 1985 and you have been there when ever I have needed you.

Brookside have been a fantastic GP surgery for me and my family. From the receptionists who are caring, efficient and go above and beyond to help me out, to the nurses and GPs/other medical staff themselves I can’t fault their care. I’m seen/spoken to within an appropriate timeframe - eg if something is urgent then they’ll see me quickly but if not urgent then not so quickly, so others who are in urgent circumstances can be prioritised. They have also gone out of their way to check hospital test results and flag issues to me when things don’t seem right - this supports me in taking control of my own healthcare and is much appreciated. Many thanks to this brilliant practice who I know I can rely on.

I have a number of issues and have been blessed in recent times with Brookside doctors evidently troubling to think wisely outside the box as to what could be done to help me, with the effort etc that involved. Indeed I'm also very grateful for the care and creativity I've had over the years from doctor after doctor at Brookside; at least eight come to mind. A great practice!
