  1. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Edward McNamara - Posted on 05 September 2023

I had a sebatious cyst removed at Brondesbury Medical Centre on 15th August 2023.The reception staff were very polite and helpful. The doctor and her staff were kind and informative. They explained to me about the procedure before hand. I experienced very little pain or discomfort afterwards. They advised me what to do if this was the case. They informed me that the stitches were self disintegrating. It wold not be necessary to book an appointment to have them removed. Everything is good now and healing well.

  3. Review titled Cruel & unethical procedure...

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by E. C. - Posted on 21 June 2023

Your surgery has achieved new heights in cruelty. You sent a text message to a 75 years old woman who lives alone, who had some tests, & have been waiting for the test results. Message said: You have a condition where regular checkups are advised. Pl book an app. with our Health Care Assistant! Is this your way of advising test results??? Why can you not simply say "Your tests results are received. Pl. contact ..." Is this surgery a place to help & try to comfort patients rather than worry & harm some vulnerable people until they can see a Health Care Assistant (What ever that means)? I guess the next stage will be to sent a text saying “surprise! you have an incurable disease, contact ... to make your departure plans? Kindness is free. I do hope that my complaint will lead you to improve the training your staff & teach them to be more considerate.

I am sorry to hear this is your understanding, the text message you received was in regards to a health check up being offered and had no relation to the results of your recent tests. Kind regards, Practice Manager

Thank you all, as always It was a really good experience.

  5. Review titled Absolutely the worst practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Francesco Mastrangelo - Posted on 02 November 2022

In this practice there is a lack of the basics necessary to work with patients. There is a big lack of care and sympathy towards who uses the practice. No one care, from the reception staff, absolutely without touch or understanding, to doctors ho have absolete method of communication. Its 3 weeks i m waiting to see a doctor to have my results, I was meant to go today. Unfortunately was late 10 min as I was coming from work, they cancelled my appointment, and they wouldnt help me. I told u could wait for any other doctors but they completely refused to find a solution, only one was to rebook for 2 weeks after. The receptionists are useless, rude and arrogant. 2 weeks ago my appointment was cancelled without even notification and today for 10 min late I have to wait again 2 weeks. How on the earth can this be allowed, how sick people can start treatment if this practice has this waiting list and the reception does the minimum just to bring home a salary without understanding the needs of the patients, where is the duty of care? This practice should be shut down as does nothing to improve the patients wellbeing. And some of the doctors could not recognise a cold even with a medicine book open..

  6. Review titled Great minor surgery experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 November 2022

I was referred by my GP to this practice for minor surgery. I was given a choice of appointments, when I arrived the receptionists were welcoming and helpful, the appointment was on time; the Dr who performed the procedure was absolutely lovely, she put me at ease and was considerate, calm and patient; her assistant had a lovely manner, the communication and aftercare leaflet was perfect. Thank you to all the team. I know what pressure you are under.

  7. Review titled Quick, efficient service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Sean Brabazon-Lok - Posted on 03 November 2022

I underwent a minor operation to remove a cyst and fibrous tissue around it. The doctor explained the process to me and the operation was conducted very professionally, quickly and efficiently. The incision required seven stitches to close it up but I have felt no discomfort and am very happy with the procedure and the way it was carried out.

  8. Review titled Dissapointing service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 September 2022

Had an operation in May 2022. Rang for appointment to have stitches taken out a week after my op. Was told that there were no appointment and had to wait for three weeks. When I explained that I needed to have my stitches out. the receptionist didn't care. In the end I ended up in St Charles hospital to have them removed. The staff were fantastic there. 2nd incident. I needed an extention on my sick leave and pain killers. Again filled in E-consult but had to wait another 2 weeks before I could get a call from the GP. I was in constant pain. This could have been easily sorted as all I needed was a repeat prescription from the doctors and a sick note. Instead I had to call my surgeon to give me a sick note. Today I had a call from GP which I book nearly 3 weeks ago. I was driving so could not answer the phone. I parked up and tried to call back but was number 12 in line to be answered. I know that the system is slow so continued to drive home. Again the doctor call which was unfortunate as I was again driving. Called back and finally managed to get through to reception. Who refused to assist me and said that the doctors have moved on and that I would have to book through e-consult. Which would mean another 3 weeks waiting. after being with the surgery over 30 Years I feel that the service has become a shamble and disorganised. I feel let down by the surgery as they don't care about a person wellbeing or state of mind.

  9. Review titled minor surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

my child had a minor surgery done at Brondesbury medical centre. They explained everything to me and to my child in a very simple and clear way. The surgery was very quick, totally painless and left absolutely no scar, even if they prepared us for the idea that could have happened. The doctor and nurse on the service are very professional, kind a very reassuring. I would warmly recommend them!

  10. Review titled Awesome Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 May 2022

I needed an appointment with St Mary's Imaging department and within 24 hrs I received my appointment. This was a big thank to the administrative team who sent the GP request form very quickly despite being busy. I am so grateful as the Hospital usually takes 48 hrs before setting an appointment. But better yet I received my hospital appointment within 24 hours. Thank you again
