  1. Review titled Very uncomfortable appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 May 2023

I had a telephone consultation regarding taking hormonal birth control to help with my severe pms symptoms. The doctor agreed that this could be helpful, but was reluctant to prescribe, suggesting that it would be better for me to go to a family planning clinic (although I saw no reason why I couldn’t just be prescribed by a gp). I then insisted that I would rather he prescribed. He asked me if I had spoken to my parents, and if they approved, which seemed totally irrelevant. I am an adult, living independently, and fully capable of making my own decisions about my body. While I was given the pills in the end, I felt uncomfortable and slightly insulted by the notion that my medical decisions should be dependent on someone else’s personal opinion, and that of my parents, not a doctor.

  2. Review titled Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katie Rawlinson - Posted on 15 February 2023

I needed a px for my son for conjunctivitis or he couldnt go nursery. The chemist next door where on the list to do minor ailments however they no longer did this. I couldnt buy it due to needing instructions on their to cover for nursery. Or i would have. The two ladies on reception one was assistant manager and the orher lady with her they went above and beyond and got my son in with the gp at 6pm im so so grateful to the two ladies and the gp of course. They deserve the recognition and i always feel that everyone should be acknowledged for their efforts and kindness. I got a px if the gp and my son can go back to nursery so i can go work. Im so grateful

  3. Review titled Rude gp

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 November 2022

I attended an appointment in November. Ok at first explained the problem. The gp was insulting and changed the amount of medication I can take. I have been taking what hospital said I could take and to have this changed is unacceptable. The gp was not interested in my opinion and was judgemental. I will neverrecommend this surgery to anyone. I am currently working on changing Doctors as not happy being insulted. Very poor practice . And don't want to listen.

I attended the practice and was greeted by a receptionist who was extremely helpful, she helped me with my issues and couldn’t do enough. I was really nervous coming to the practice but I was made to feel at ease.

  8. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After previous experiences over the years at the surgery not being too great, I came here this week to book an appointment to be offered a face to face within 48 hours! The reception staff where very attentive and professional From start to finish and the support from the medical team as a whole has been a breath of fresh air from previous, I feel supported more than ever. Thank you so much ! And I also have noticed a water bowl outside the surgery for pets to drink from! They really have thought of everything.

  9. Review titled Despicable

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 May 2022

Whoever you arrive at the practise they are very friendly and helpful however this is not my concern! My concern is the telephone system. They just never answer the telephone and this has happened numerous times. To summarise I can call the practice and the phone will never be answered for 30 minutes. On three occasions now I then proceed to leave my house and drive to the practise and enter the surgery with the phone still either ringing out or even on the message answerphone setting. I enter the surgery and low and behold the reception staff are chatting and my call is still not answered and ringing out. I then mention “any idea why no one is answering this” whist showing my phone on loud speaker! On three occasions now one lady is busy on reception but the two in the back office are chatting away and ignoring my phone. When I demonstrated this whilst in the surgery I was asked to turn my phone off because they appeared to be embarrassed. Please just answer your phones and don’t ignore us! That’s all we ask because 45 minutes is just unacceptable l.
