  1. Review titled Great practice so helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After my farther was discharged from Hospital I can not praise the staff and doctors at this surgery enough. They will always call when they said they would. They have so much compassion and empathy to me and the family I truly wish I lived in the area and they where my doctors. The team are worth their weight in gold and always go that extra mile to help. Thank you so much

Thank you for your message on NHS services. We are sorry that you had to suffer from pain for 4 days. As it is an anonymous review, we are unable to reply specific answer. However, we are reassured that a correct diagnosis has been made over the telephone. Treatment of suspected gout/acute gout/flare up of gout is predominantly analgesics/anti-inflammatory medication which I presume has already been given. If pain is not controlled, extra pain killers could have been given if contacted the surgery. Blood test report can only confirm the diagnosis. Prophylactic long-term treatment can be started based on the blood test report, only when the immediate gout problem with pain has subsided. Therefore, there is nothing more we could have done based on the report early. Still if you want to discuss the matter, you are most welcome to book an appointment with a doctor at the practice.
