    Until recently the experience has always been good, but it has become increasingly difficult to reach anyone by phone. I submitted a repeat prescription request, which used to be approved within 24 hours. This is for medication which is critical. Five days later, the prescription has still not been approved by the surgery. I called and gave up waiting after 50 minutes on hold. I am only leaving this review here, as it seems to best way to give feedback to the surgery. Please review your process for approving prescriptions. With prescriptions also taking longer once they reach the pharmacy, we are now looking at upwards of two weeks to get prescriptions filled.

    I had 2 non urgent issues which I was expecting to have to wait some time for an appt but within half an hour of sending in my Klinik form I had received a reply and prescriptions had been forwarded to the pharmacy. I had been able to explain on the form exactly what the problem was and it had clearly been read and reacted to without fuss. I was very grateful and impressed. It saved a lot of time for both me and the GP. There is so much criticism being leveled at GPs that I just wanted to say thank you.

    On Friday 17th February I rang the practice for an appointment for my husband. We were seen by Doctor at 4 pm and at 4.15 an ambulance was called. Dealt with efficiently and sympathetically by the Doctor. He was seen in the new Emergency Unit at Wexham Park Hospital (fast track) and the whole experience there was also good over four nights, even the food. Thank you NHS.

    Appointment obtained same day via Klinik. Saw Doctor straight away. Problems handled quickly appointment made for physio in two weeks time. Five star service.

    Insurance company needed a referral from a GP for a procedure which could not have been down without a long delay on NHS. It took 5 weeks for a non urgent appointment with GP, and the surgery now say 4-6 weeks to fill out the insurance form and a charge of £36. This, because the NHS is unable to treat me in a reasonable time frame. It seems they still have the power to inflict a long delay on me even if I pay private insurance.

    Amidst all the negative press concerning the NHS I just wanted to say that my GP surgery continues to provide an excellent service. This is the second time in a couple of months that I have contacted the surgery via an online consultation form for a medical issue and both times I have been impressed, the last occasion was outstanding. I sent the online form at 6:20am, was called at 7:27am and asked to attend a face to face appointment at 08:20am (this was on a Monday morning which is their busiest day of the week). The GP I saw was lovely, understanding, thorough and I was out of the surgery by 08:30am. It is easy to criticise the service provided by the NHS but there are a lot of times that people don’t talk about the positive experiences and I feel we should do this more. A wonderful surgery with polite, responsive and caring staff - well done.

    Astounded to find that they won't accept my 91-year-old relative as a temporary patient. We are caring for her unsupported. We are praying she doesn't need a GP suddenly, atm we are still having to ph her out of county GP for meds & advice. Not acceptable. I've usually been happy with this surgery, but I feel very let down in this situation.

    If you shouldn't phone for an appointment why does the phone menu offer "press 1 for an appointment" - if BEWGmc don't want patients to phone, they should make a statement that phone call requests for appointments should only be for the elderly or vulnerable. If *I* as a patient would prefer to phone to make an appointment rather than use an online service, that surely is my choice. So a word of warning, if you choose to phone for an appointment be prepared to be chastised for doing so

    I can not believe the fantastic difference using Klinic has made. I sent a request for a follow-up appointment this morning, I received a reply immediately and was seen early afternoon how great is that? The doctor and reception staff staff were friendly and very helpful. Well done to everyone at Hawthorne practice.

    Reception staff very helpful and a prompt call back from the doctor meant my daughter’s issue could be sorted out without her missing school or me missing work. The online system is very efficient. Thank you so much.
