    Arrived at surgery 10 minutes before appointment and checked in “automatically”. Was called in by the Doctor just before appointment time which was excellent! Doctor was respectful, professional and thorough with examination. Felt very confident in Doctor.

    I would like to thank the staff at Backfield Medical Red and Green practice for the care they showed me on my reason visit. Both my husband and I have always been treated with respect and we think all Doctors and staff do a wonderful Job. We are so very fortunate to have such an amazing practice.

    Although the booking system is a challenge to navigate for all concerned (very frustrating and time consuming) the staff were as helpful as they could be within the limitations of the booking system. I am pleased to say that my appointment today with the GP was prompt, efficient, friendly professional and thorough. The staff are doing the best they can during these difficult times and we regularly forget how fortunate we are to have access to a comprehensive free health service!

    Be aware their website is 2 years out of date regarding opening hours as shows opening till 6.30pm and 8pm when in fact they have closed at 5pm since 2020. Additionally regularly takes up to an hour to answer the phone. This has been a well known issue for many years but nothing is ever done to improve it.

    I'm very sorry you feel this way however the Red and Green practice do offer appointments every day until 6.30. Our telephone data, from our cloud based telephony shows that our average wait time of all calls answered within the first hour of opening is between 2mins 18sec and 3 mins 34 sec over the working week. Should you wish to discuss this further please don't hesitate to contact a member of the management team at the practice.

    Good afternoon. I had occasion to contact your surgery today regarding a 4th Covid jab for my very elderly relative. I was not rude in any way, but clear, having waited 25 minutes for the phone to be responded to. However, the clerk said she/he knew nothing about covid. Could not help me. I replied with the greatest of respect, that I though they should have some idea. After requesting this again, the clerk went away and came back with: ring 119. I asked for the doctor or practice to contact my relative with an inhouse appointment if possible please. The clerk then proceeded to say I was aggressive and they couldn't do anything. The clerk did not give me their name or a reference and put the phone down on me. Very unprofessional. Therefore, I have made it my business to look at your website, where it quotes that you will shortly either at Blackfield or the Waterside be administering this 4th Covid Jab. You and we have all been under pressure from Covid. Having a clerk answer your telephone service who was so clearly unprepared for a simple question on this service, is unfair to them and unfair to your patients. It is disappointing when I hear such good remarks about my relative's actual Doctor. I look forward to your response.

    Thank you for your enquiry, I'm sorry that you didn't get the answer you were looking for, We have delivered over 70,000 vaccinations since the 2020 pandemic, each year, on direction from NHSE, the eligible cohorts change which makes it exceptionally difficult for our teams to answer every query. I'm terribly sorry if you were upset by a team member I will discuss this with all our teams.
