Been with this practice for ten years now and stayed with them despite this not being my closest surgery. The admin staff go out of their way to help patients. You can tell they get busy but still keep a friendly and professional manner at all times. Nurses are also kind and pleasant, making phlebotomy relatively stress-free even with anxious patients. Physicians have been great to work with and can usually be seen within a week with some flexibility.

I had to choose a month for this review but in fact the review is for ongoing care and support for several long term conditions over the whole of 2023. Chronic illness is often forgotten or overlooked by society in general but Blacketts staff have helped me to feel cared for and supported this year. What a difference this has made - it’s been refreshing to have more holistic care. I hope this might become even more important to the practice. Self management is great, but when juggling several illnesses, and in the context of family, work and, well, life, it can be overwhelming and fearsome. The management of many drugs and many appointments, fragmented and often duplicated care, the lack of communication between specialists, and often a host of empty promises, can affect the quality of life of a whole family. Maybe it would even be financially better to keep us at home and coping! Whatever, the staff at Blacketts have certainly made a difference to me this year for which I’m grateful. I hope it will continue.
