Review titled Random Rules and Poor Administration

We have been with Surgery 12 yrs+. When lived in Bermondsey. When we moved downtown recently due to my health issues, we was first informed was within Catchment Area to remain if wished. As I wanted to take time before change over due to my health and meds needed. Then hubby received a letter stating he got a time frame when he has to leave as now catchment area has suddenly shrank. I received No letter. 1st call to reception she says, ignore letter as lots went out in error. Then I call again a week later to double check this and another receptionist said. Yes! letters correct you have to find another surgery asap as out of catchment area. I mention how I received No letter. Then one turns up next day for me. Then a week later hubby gets another letter with more info and I receive nothing yet again. This place has gone downhill over time. You get served with wrong info. He never received letter till a week later at time of them writing it which had left us of short time to register with new surgery. As my letter stated same leave date. I doubt I would have received a letter myself if hadnt mentioned it to them. Long standing patients mean nothing these days, so we will then move to another surgery asap as requested...

Dear Patient. I am sorry that you have had problems in regards to your registration status at the practice. We sometimes do have issues with the registration's authority and also when NHSE conducted cleansing exercises that identify patient's that are out of the area and request their deductions. We are are always happy to discuss the possibility of keeping patients on our register if we can came to arrangement regarding matters, such as home visit's etc. Please ask to speak to one of the managers should you require further assistance or clarification.

Dear Patient, thank you for taking he time to provide your feedback. I am one of the managers at the practice. I am sorry that you have had such a difficult experience in getting an appointment. We discuss patient feedback at our practice meetings. We have a dedicated team at reception that endeavours to offer the best services possible, under, what at times, are some very challenging circumstances. I am not sure if you have heard of, or have access to, the” My GP App”. This is one app for all your healthcare needs- Patients can book and cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions, check their medical records etc. You can download the app onto a smartphone from the Apple App store, or from Google Play

Dear patient. We are sorry that you had such a negative experience trying to make an appointment. We have invested a great deal of time and effort to improve our access systems in order to increase patient access to the service. Improved telephone systems and care navigation training as all been completed over the past few months. I hope that you have a more positive experience in the future.

Completed an E-consult on July 13th and was informed someone will give a call by 18:30, next day. No calls till today(18/07/23), called GP to find out and after staying on the line for about 30 minutes; a lady picked up and hanged up the phone! Since then I have tried a few times and I'm always "number one on the queue" but none answered! Most of the Receptionists I come across in this are rude, unprofessional and clueless. They seriously need customer service training, if not being removed from any patients facing roles.

We are sorry that you have experienced issues in using the e-Consult Service. E-Consult is an effective and efficient means of accessing one of our clinicians for communicating your health care concerns. We are also disappointed that you have experienced problems with our telephony system. We would like to investigate your comment that you are "number one on the queue" but none answered! and also that you say "most of the Receptionists I come across in this are rude" unprofessional. As your posting is anonymous, we cannot look into your concerns. We would be happy to investigate this further. Please asked for a member of the management team; Triston, Robert or Chambis.
