  1. Review titled Doctor didn’t ring back as promised

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Lorraine Martin - Posted on 28 March 2023

Further to my review today regarding my daughters test results from two weeks ago and receptionist promising her a call back to discuss. Guess what? No call back. My daughter has waited all afternoon and is upset and stressed out. Too exhausted to ring tomorrow and be in a queue to be told what? then let down again.

  2. Review titled Are there any Doctors there anymore?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Lorraine Martin - Posted on 28 March 2023

My daughter had chest and rib pains approximately 2 months ago resulting in strong antibiotics and a chest X-ray. She was feeling overly exhausted and tired for no apparent reason. The X-ray showed cloudy so could be fluid so another X-ray was requested to see if the antibiotics had worked and cleared the chest/lungs. This was done two weeks ago. Still no results. She rang the doctors and was told by the receptionist that a doctor hadn’t even looked at it yet. She rang the hospital who said they had sent the findings twice to the surgery and were not allowed to discuss any results with the patient. Fair enough but who can? My daughter is now waiting on a phone call back from the surgery. When this happens it will probably be a doctors associate or one of the nurse practitioners. I don’t even know if doctors see patients anymore at this surgery. I am also a patient of this surgery, have been for years. It was so spot on and efficient. There are much too many patients for this practice to deal with. The wait for a receptionist to answer calls is ludicrous and for test results that are worrying to the patient delayed. Please god may things change soon

  3. Review titled Excellent service, knowledge, and experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 February 2023

I have been registered with Belvedere GP Surgery for over 15 years, in that time my needs have always been met or exceeded. I have had no issues making an appointment whilst using either phone or via the app. The surgery is also well laid out with a clean waiting area, clearly shown appointment numbering system, and easy to find appointment rooms. Each appointment I have had with either a nurse practitioner or doctor has been excellent. I have not felt rushed and time has always been taken to ensure that my individual needs and any resultant treatment are met and are right for me. In particular, the nurse practitioners at the surgery are explemplary with regards to their level of care, medical knowledge, and bedside manner. This is especially significant considering they are under currently a lot of pressure and have been over the last 2 years since the COVID pandemic. Like most I would prefer if minimal visits to the doctor, but when I need to I am glad a local surgery like this exists in Belvedere.

  4. Review titled Customer service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Really disappointed with this GP medical centre’s inability to answer the phone within a reasonable waiting time. They also appear to have removed a contact email address, the only alternatives now is to wait on the phone, visit them in person or send a letter by post. Not great if you are elderly or a disabled person and your situation is reasonably urgent or even straightforward. I do appreciate how much pressure their staff are under, but I’m sure their management team could make some improvements that would make a real difference to their customers and carers experience.

I am very sorry to hear that you are finding telephone waiting times at Belvedere Medical Centre disappointing. We constantly monitor our telephone waiting times and the average waiting time for answering calls last month was 12.5 minutes. However, there are times that it can be longer. The Practice has spent a huge amount of time customising the ASK FIRST APP to enable patients to make routine appointments. If all those patients who can book on line booked on line then the vulnerable groups would have better access by phone. If you have any specific issue then please contact the Practice Manager. We thank you for your comments.

  5. Review titled Not good Receptionist

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by David Treadwell - Posted on 30 December 2022

I had a letter for a x Ray. Went to the hospital today to be told I needed 2 letter 1 with a doctors signature. So I thought I call the surgery to ask them if they can send it over to me. I phoned 3 times calling and calling them no answer! So after driving all the way to Queen Mary's hospital paid to park to leave not ha ing it done. So I went to the surgery and asked why no one answering the phone all 3 was sitting there doing nothing to be told we have just spoken to someone. So after explaining again what happened I said this hospital letter no good to me so I gave the letter to the receptionist. Who turned around and said iam going to throw it on the floor!!! How disgusting to be treated this bad.

We do apologise for your recent experience with Belvedere Medical Centre. We have investigated this and have reminded our clinical staff that the X-ray form needs a signature. This was an oversight by our staff and hopefully this will not occur again. I have also spoken to Reception staff regarding this matter If you would like to discuss this further please make an appointment with the Practice Manager

  7. Review titled Ridiculous problems with this Surgery!

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 November 2022

I have had great difficulties in attempting to make contact with my surgery in order to arrange a prescription review. I spent one afternoon between 2-5pm on the telephone trying to get through to them. I waited an hour at a time then getting lost in the telephone system twice. I gave up and arranged my review through the MyGP app. However, I never received a review so I phoned the surgery several days later. Surprisingly, I managed to get through but was told this surgery does not use this app anymore. I exclaimed that I did not know this but was told everyone had been told (except me, it seemed!). A review was then arranged for 11 October when a lady spoke to me from the surgery pharmacy team. She went through my prescription list and I told her the Gabapentin prescribed by my consultant I now needed. She said she would request it. This week I emailed Knightons and as usual my husband collected it. When it arrived home I discovered the Gabapentin was missing. I phoned Knightons and was told this item was requested but not on my prescription from the surgery. I was asked to ring them on Monday! Can someone please tell me why we have a prescription review?! How frustrating and time wasting!!

  8. Review titled Best consultation I've had with a doctor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tarnya Jasinski - Posted on 12 August 2022

This was my first face to face consultation with a doctor at the practice. I got 30 mins with the GP who was brilliant. I actually felt like I was listened to and he addressed all my concerns. He even phoned me when I got home to say he had spoken to colleagues and had decided I needed a further x ray. I'm new to this practice and if this is the service going forward, I'm very happy and impressed.

  9. Review titled terrible reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by disappointed patient - Posted on 08 June 2022

Been a patient at this surgery for many years and always had good service until today. went on the askfirst app to book a urgent appointment none available, advised to call the surgery so i did. After 25 minutes waiting and still no answer i made my way to the surgery hoping to make a appointment at the reception!! when i got there the 2 receptionist continued there conversation about their social life’s, then 1 of them could be bothered to talk to me said no appointments available until the 16th 8 days away. I was then advised to attend urgent care center or A&E. If this is their idea of patient care god help us.
