  2. Review titled Amazing surgery

This GP service is fantastic. I’ve always been made to feel so comfortable. My GP takes time to listen and discuss things with me and I never feel rushed. My doctor goes above and beyond to make sure I get the advice/treatment needed. The nurses at this surgery are friendly and welcoming as are the receptionist. Highly recommend this surgery

  3. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I contacted the surgery with a problem and was offered an appointment the same morning, the receptionist was very polite and helpful. At my appointment the GP was very thorough and patient, he took time to explain possible causes, explained treatment plan and arranged for an x Ray to be taken. Overall a very positive experience where I felt I had been listened to

  4. Review titled Appalling treatment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I took my 82 year old father, who is normally very independent to this practice. he was suffering with a sudden onset of confusion. GP asked me "What would I like him to do"? regarding this. I had to ask him to dip a urine sample to rule out potential infection. I also had to ask him to listen to his chest. Upon doing this, he referred my Dad for chest x-ray, however he sent us to the wrong department in order for this to be carried out. It had been made aware to NHS staff that a particular department were not performing x-rays, however we were still sent there. Consequently this caused a delay in treatment and it was my Dad's specialist at Preston who arranged the chest xray there and my Dad is currently in hospital with pneumonia with a poor prognosis. Consequently I will be moving him from this surgery. The general attitude was that it was too much trouble. I will say the members of staff who were incredibly helpful, were a locum GP and the receptionist.

  5. Review titled Good surgery

I have left a review in the past about how good the doctors are. One in particular has really looked after my husbands health. All the nurses are lovely with a nice manner. The receptionist are all fabulous and go out of their way to be helpful. I have now been introduced to a person who deals with patients medications, they spoke to me on the phone and I found them very helpful and efficient. Thank you to all the team.

  6. Review titled disgraceful

I placed a repeat order for my HRT only for it to be cancelled- apparently i needed a review (although no notice of this was given). I was given an afternoon appointment (no time specified) for 4 weeks later!! As I needed the prescription I needed to go to the surgery where they gave me a bridging prescription. This cost me £9.35 for one month supply instead of usual three months. On day of my appointment I missed the first phone call as I was putting my Granddaughter down for her nap so made sure phone was beside me for when Dr rang again. Unfortunately when Dr did ring again the call would not connect for some reason. I rang surgery immediately to try to explain what had happened but was ninth in queue. When I eventually did get through I was told I would have to make another appointment. I asked if it was possible for Dr to ring me at the end of her appointments as she obviously now had one less but was told this was impossible.I find this totally unacceptable, I know Drs are busy but so are the rest of us. We don't all have the luxury of sitting by our phones for hours waiting for them to call.

My husband and I have nothing but praise for this practice, the GP is very thorough with the diagnosis and advice. I would also like to thank the nurses and also the receptionists who do their very best to be helpful. Always greeted with cheerfulness too. I highly recommend. Thank you!
