    How good is this GP Surgery. I have recently moved into the area from Manchester. The registration process was very easy as I did it online. I called the practice today about a long term health condition I have and the phone was answered in seconds by a very polite lady. I was offered a face to face appointment or a telephone appointment today or next week (my choice) I chose today and was booked in for that afternoon. My practice in Manchester only does telephone appointments to start with and if the doctor needs to see you then they book you in. I was seen 5 minutes early by a nice, male doctor who examined me and then prescribed me some medication which I collected whilst I was at the surgery. This is a massive improvement from what I am used to. Well done to all, I shall be spreading the word.

    I've usually been seen promptly, staff (receptionists and clinicians) struck me as efficient and professional.

    Beechwood Road is not my registered practice but I had to go there for a scan. From the minute I walked into this very clean and fresh smelling building I was treated with a friendly smile and 'good morning' from the receptionist, my appt was on time and the whole experience was brilliant. Staff were busy and bustling and there was a general feeling of positivity. This was honestly the best experience I have had a GP surgery for years.

    It’s ridiculous that we can’t book appointments in advance. It’s bad enough majority of appointments are still telephone and not face to face but it even more ridiculous that you can’t book an appointment for your test result in advance and have to ring on a day to day basis. Surely there should be a better system that have patients worrying and having the stress and hassle of calling everyday. Also if appointments were a fortnight/ month in advance the reception staff won’t be bombarded with the amount of calls they get on a daily basis. The system need to change back

    Thank you for your comments and I am sorry that we have not met with your expectations today. We are slowly returning to normal in that most clinicians now see patients face to face as well as consult over the telephone and via video. We have a number of routine appointments available to book in advance as well as "on the day", three days in advance and five days in advance. We are aware that these numbers will need to increase in the coming weeks and months. Thank you for your comments and I do hope we can get back to some kind of normality shortly.

    I have recently moved house and changed Gp to Beecwood Road. I contacted the surgery last Friday have seen a clinician today and my treatment plan is already sorted. Thank you
