I had a chest infection and was given antibiotics to clear it 5 days on day 4 I didn't feel like I was 100 I went on ask my gp to ask for some more antibiotics to ensure its cleared I asked on ask my gp I later received a phone call (from the rudest receptionist ever) I dread this person picking up the phone when I ring who said I had been trialed and needed to ring gp alliance as I needed to be seen I told Mrs rude that I could come in any time that day or the following day and she just kept parroting ring gp alliance no concern, I was nearly in tears at this point I said I'm going on hols sat I still feel ill could you not just do me another few days antibiotic or see me anytime today or tomorrow Mrs rude reply I am repeating what doctor said ring gp alliance not an ounce of empathy nothing , I asked how do I leave your suery this level of care is shocking , Mrs rude just find out with gp covers your postcode and move, I have been with this practise over 25 years I finally managed get an appointment at gp alliance who were brilliant stronger antibiotics and steroids, Beech hill has gone really down hill and the first step in improving is sorting out the attitude of certain receptionists I will be moving

Ask my GP, before covid you could pick your slot and doctor. Having done ask my GP and get told to go to GP alliance, when all you want is to see your own doctor, it’s an utter let down. This surgery has gone down hill very rapidly and some reception staff are abrupt. No wonder A and E is always busy, people going there because of lack of appointments, really considering moving GPs
