I always get a very good service at this practice, whether a face to face or dealing with reception staff over the phone or via the emailing service. I was recently referred to another local practice for minor surgery and Beauchief practice took great care to find room for me to have my stitches removed even though they are obviously a very busy practice. These behaviours were also reflected while having my annual review the day after. The practice nurse extremely pleasant and attentive and very professional. I’m very satisfying overall.

I filled in a patient contact form this morning. Within 30mins I received a text message asking me to attend the surgery this afternoon. The nurse took a history and examined me and was able to prescribe medication. She told me that if it didn’t improve to ring the surgery and ask for an appointment with her next week. I collected the medication from the chemist on the way home.

I was able to secure an urgent appointment very quickly and the doctor with whom I was booked was very thorough and empathetic and I felt reassured that I had been listened to

My recent experience at this practice was genuinely disappointing. The reception staff were outright rude and unhelpful, making what was already a stressful situation even worse. Even though the practice is open, appointments can only be made within a particular window in the morning. Regardless of the situation. Appointment was not with a GP but a physician associate (who search engine your symptoms in front of you, I have access to that myself). For a complex issue, this just wasn’t good enough. It feels like there was no real access to proper medical care here, and the dismissive attitude of the receptionists only adds to that. Their system is broken, and the staff seem to have no interest in making it any better. ⸻ Let me know if you’d like to make it even more direct or include any specific details from your visit.

I spoke to the Nurse over the phone and found the whole experience helpful and friendly. The nurse listened to me and gave great advice.

I attended for a blood test with the practice nurse. It was undertaken promptly with care and friendly professionalism, and the nurse took the extra step of booking my next test for me.

I was nervous to get my implant replaced but they took it step by step with me ensuring I was comfortable and understanding of the procedure I was about to have Absolutely amazing communication. They made me feel safe in the environment asked me plenty of questions to help distract me (it really helped with the procedure) and overall such a lovely atmosphere and so nice to see some smiling faces, procedure took less than 5 mins and was 100% pain free and spot on

I have to make an appointment asap. I called and explained that the appointment needs to be asap. She said there are no appointments at all till next month! I said what is the next opening for an appointment and she replied “Thete isn’t anything” I said what? All of 2025 is fully booked and she said yes!Then she denied it. So I’m stuck what to do next. I am angry that she wasn’t helpful and lied.
