    Saw a practice nurse this week I had gone deaf due to wax unfortunately surgery did syringe ears anymore the nurse told me to get some equipment from the chemist and do it myself thank you it worked wonders I can hear at last I got a pump and syringe gadget it worked wonders many thanks saved me £55 if I had to go private

    I visited the practice today with my daughter with regards to some concerns about her possibly having a chest infection and seeking a potential diagnosis for asthma. The doctor was absolutely brilliant, listened carefully to what my daughter had to say, and put her at ease very quickly. She was incredibly helpful and made sure that my daughter got the help that she needed.

    After a really bad experience I saw a wonderful lady who was very sympathetic about my needle phobia. Blood sample taken quickly by a caring, funny and lovely nurse xx

    I saw acp with bay medical group. The issue was of a sensitive nature, but I was made to feel at ease and comfortable despite the situation. The clinician spoke to me at the right level, explaining the treatment plan and his professional opinion on the matter in terms that could be understood. This has meant that anxiety has been kept to a minimum, whilst also offering as much clarity as possible, which is as much as a patient can reasonably ask for in my opinion.

    One of the nurses rang me as I called into the Morecambe practice where I mentioned I had a sore bruise on my finger from catching it. My finger also went numb so I wanted medial answers to see what it was. I also sent a photo of my bruising attached to my message. I was answered with a frosted reception with "how can I help" very abrupt. So I said can you see my attached picture. Yes she replied and it's just bruising!! She was very rude and abrupt and seemed like she wasn't bothered and just spoke to me like a child!! Why did I bother waiting days for a nurse to tell me, it's nothing and just spontaneous bruising! Thanks but I could have told myself that. Total waste of time!

    This morning I was trying to get a Dr's appt for my son, but was also trying get my children ready and do the school run. I'd been waiting in the queue on the telephone but it had cut out a few times and I thought I'd been disconnected. I then had to go to a class so couldn't ring again. Whilst in the class I received a call back from bay medical, and the receptionist explained she rang me back as my call had connected, but all she could hear was children. She listen to my problem and found me an appt. I know how busy the telephone lines are to the GP practice in the morning, and I'm amazed and so very grateful that the receptionist took the time to ring me back and check we were OK. Amazing service.

    My husband and I were registered with this practice for six months while we lived in Morecambe between our house sale and pending purchase. We had previously been registered at a different practice in the Stockport area for 29 years. Our experience of Bay Medical Group was great, from polite and helpful reception staff to professional and friendly nurses and doctors. I was contacted proactively about my diabetes check-ups, my husband about his eligibility for an NHS health check. We found it much easier to contact the practice and make an appointment than at our previous practice, and the reception staff were infinitely more accessible and amenable. Overall we were extremely impressed with the service provided and hope our next practice proves to be as good.

    Spoke to recetionist today about a query about perscription for my son. All i asked would she be able to double check somthing with the gp as the gp perscribed 5days course of antibiotics for scarlett fever however on nhs website it advises 10days worth. She asked me rudely if i was clinically trained to ask that question. I replied calmly no however nhs website advises different and mistakes can be made all i wanted was it to be checked. As my son has been ill for two week with already 5day course and scarett fever came back in avengence 3days later due to not enough antibiotics. And now more ill then he started off. The receptionist completely refused and said she wouldnt and ignored anything else i said giving me a dirty look and huffing as if i was an inconvenience. I was to believe that receptionists are their to help patients with queries she wasnt helpful she was very belittling and aragont towards me. I suffer with social anxiety as it is and she didnt take in to consideration how she made me feel. She just told me it was tough and that she wouldnt speak to the dr at all.

    Appointment within a few hours, great service from start to finish. The advanced practitioner was excellent, very nice to my little one. I felt listened to, in good hands and reassured.

    I wish to compliment the Health Care Assistant who carried out my annual review today. She was very professional and, unlike previous HCA’s I have seen, listened to and answered any comments and questions from me. She is a credit to the Practice and I would appreciate this feedback being passed on to her.
