Review titled missed basic checks!
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 May 2023
the past 2 times I have visited a Dr I have not had my blood pressure checked. my arms are too big for the standard size cuffs and rather than having the alternate size available or doing it old school way it gets completely missed. lets hope my blood pressure is ok and that i don't have any issues that may require treatment. i cant be the only person to have larger upper arms. something as basic as a blood pressure check should be getting done!

Dear Patient I am so sorry to note that you have had problems with cuff sizes when your blood pressure has been checked here at the surgery. I will raise this with the team. If you would like to email us further details then please do on feedback.bchc@nhs.net Thank you again for bringing this to my attention. Jennifer Nichols Practice Manager

Review titled Book booking system
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by DennisO - Posted on 16 May 2023
Booking is very frustrating. Phone system has a really long message and it isn't possible to use the options until you have listened to the whole thing. Message is misleading, it says you can book appointments online or via the NHS app so I thought I would try that rather than wait on the phone. Tried the NHS app and online and both say that it isn't possible to book appointments online and you have to call. Had to phone and listen to the long message again! Really is about time these systems were brought into the 21st century

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry that your experience of BCHC was not positive on this occasion. We are always grateful for feedback as it helps us make our service better for patients. It is a difficult balance to make sure people receive the information they need and having the phone message too long. This is an area we are working on all the time. I am sorry the technology did not work for you on this occasion. Please do contact us on feedback.bchc@nhs.net so that we can help you to get things running more smoothly in future. Many thanks, Dr Gwyneth Rogers, Clinical Lead
