I called in today as the surgery was opening and didnt have to wait long to speak to someone, who was really lovely and said they'd try to get a doctor to call me back before i start work, I didnt recieve a call so before I started i call back i then started work and was met by a rude member of staff who told me I wouldnt get the call and when I asked is there any chance I could, I got told i " Was very impatient for someone who hasnt been given priority " they arranged for me to get a call later but I was so stunned by what was said that I didnt reply with anything

  2. Review titled Waiting Times

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Rarely visit but on two occasions this month to see the nurse she was running more than 30 minutes late. More importantly none of the receptionists kept the packed, airless, waiting room of patients. How can you get yourself so far behind the appointment schedule early in the morning. Beats me!

  3. Review titled Do not recommend

Rated 1 star out of 5

Complete disregard for pacients requests and time of appointments. I specifically asked for a female doctor and double checked it was possible only to arrive early and then wait for 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, to realise that in fact the appointment wasn't even with a female doctor. Do not recommend. This experience has shattered my trust in the medic system even more than i thought it was possible.

  4. Review titled Receptionist and doctors

    by West23 - Posted on 18 February 2023

This has happened on numerous occasions. You phone a surgery, first you get put on hold for 40 minutes to a hour waiting for your call to be answered by reception. They then tell you that you can’t speak with a doctor, you’ll have to book a phone appointment and wait further for a call back. I believe in 30 seconds the doctor could sort out my issue, instead I’m 50 minutes into being on hold. There is pressure on the NHS but I feel my surgery’s failing to do any sort of a job and help me, you’ll be waiting all day to get help. It’s a shambles.

  5. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been going to the Ballard's Surgery for 19 years now and every time the staff (receptionists, nurses and doctors) has always been very helpful and lovely. Thank you for all your hard work especially with limited resources and for being polite and helpful.

My last review wasn't posted must of said something that hit a nerve ...the truth i didn't mention names i just stated the truth Covid is over we the normal people are living with it working alongside other people everyday so why can't we see a doctor ...After getting results back I asked to see doctor so that I could get advise on condition to be told by reception to look it up on Google as doctor hasn't requested to see me after results even though it was the doctor whom claimed he wanted to see me due to my records being out of date and in a mess he words not mine

  7. Review titled Caring!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Valerie Wotton - Posted on 26 April 2022

I would like to leave a very positive review for the kind Receptionist at the Surgery who dealt with my problem this morning. She was very empathetic and understood the situation in which I found myself. Thank you for being so caring and understanding and for putting my mind at rest. As a follow-up to this the matter was resolved this afternoon and an explanation given which cleared everything up.

  8. Review titled Booster jab!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Valerie Wotton JP - Posted on 25 April 2022

My husband, who is housebound, was contacted on 21 April and appointment made for home booster jab on 22 April. No one came and I contacted surgery at 5.50pm on 22 April and was told someone would come on 23 April. No one can so I contacted surgery on 25 April and was told they didn't know anything about thus and would get the person concerned to contact me which she did, twice. The second call was to say that someone had called on us on 23 April and a booster jab was given. However my husband had not received this so who was given the jab. On the call this afternoon I asked if a jab had been administered and was told 'yes!' My question is who was this person who received my husband's jab because it wasn't him!?
