  1. Review titled Pathetic

Cannot get appointment . Told to call every morning wait in a queue and still told cannot get appointment . Joined surgery in November only time I got to see a gp he said he was busy and could I reschedule my appointment, which I cannot do as I have to keep calling in the morning to be told no appointments left , you can not book an appointment any other day . My husband finally got an appointment since waiting from November and he waited an hour and was then asked if he could come back the next evening at 3.45 ? This surgery is absolutely terrible .

  2. Review titled Not providing any service

Rated 1 star out of 5

My son is likely diabetic and feeling unwell. We have called this surgery 7 times to ask for an appointment. The answer is always "call 8am in the morning". When you call at 8, you are on hold for 40 minutes and they tell you that there are no appointments available. When you complain, you are being told that "change surgery if you don't like it". It seems to be the same process, regardless of why you are calling. Started to doubt that this surgery is providing any appointments to the public at all. Probably, just getting funds for nothing. Online it says that this surgery is taking new patients. I am wondering why if they are not providing any services.

  3. Review titled well managed GP surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I think ,this is a very well run and managed GP surgery. All the staff are very pleasant, caring and attentive. I have not found any fault and that is the reason why I am registered with this practice even though I live near the Newark town.

  4. Review titled Absolute joke

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Michelle Marvin - Posted on 24 May 2023

Tried to get an appointment with a Doctor as want to talk about changing some of my meds and not something the Clinical Pharmacist could do (who are great) and as 'non urgent' no appointments until July. Not receptionists fault but this is beyond a joke. Taking on new patients and not enough Doctors. Money talks!

  5. Review titled Hide behind the DrIQ app they can’t use

Rated 1 star out of 5

Uploaded photos of a diabetic review letter from Kings Mill Hospital asking for change in medication. Request rejected and their feed back was bring the letter to the surgery so they could copy it. What’s the point of having an app?

  6. Review titled Disappointed Again with administration

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by Chopper37 - Posted on 30 December 2022

I saw my opticician due to Diabetes. Detected deterioration especially with bleeding behind eyes. Need to see GP. Saw nurse who took blood tests said would be in contact if any issues with blood samples. Nothing heard. Saw a consultant at Newark hospital about another matter. She picked up latest blood test showed anemia. Surgery has failed to contact me. Saw GP ( he is excellent ) about another matter and he Saw comments from consultant. Wanted fasting blood tests and stool test, and asked to book further appointment to discuss Diabetes and Aneamia. Went in for bllod tests and took stool sample in. When tried to book face to face appointment with GP met with problem. I am obviously concerned about both Diabetes and Aneamia especially as Surgery had not contacted me. I have been given a telephone appointment with GP on the 25th January and Not face to face. This is appalling and causing me both anxiety and depression. Surgery admin 1 star, but the GP I have been seeing is 5 star, just a pity cannot discuss results and treatment in person. Had an issue with this,Surgery with referral to ENT with it being routine. This turned out to be throat Cancer !

  7. Review titled Terrible service and do not respond to feedback

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 November 2022

I am surprised to see some positive reviews of this surgery because one-star or less reflects my experience. They have enormous wait times on the phone and tell you to call back later, even when they are just about to close. They say to try the DrIQ app instead, but on there they do not read what you submit and mess up prescriptions. Finally, they don't respond to feedback. They don't call back when you try to sort things out, and they don't respond to complaints. I may well get a generic response to this review saying 'sorry we have not met my expectations' and asking me to get in touch. Don't believe it - they just don't respond.

  8. Review titled Fantastic staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Amy Fishwick - Posted on 28 September 2022

I’m new to the practise having left my previous and only other doctors surgery of 31 years, due to moving house. I have had 3 reasons to call this surgery in the 2 months since I have moved and I’m blown away by the kindness of the staff! The receptionists are gentle, caring, helpful and don’t rush you. The two call backs I’ve had from doctors and nurses have been punctual and again no rushing you off of the phone, taking the time to listen and care. I’ve never felt inclined to give a review of a doctors surgery before but I just had to say thank you to the staff for the wonderful way they have treated me each and every time and not made me feel that I was too much trouble. The communication is also second to none, having just received a text to update me with my medication and inform me what to do next. Brilliant surgery, fantastic staff! Thank you all!

  9. Review titled Rather surprised at bad reviews

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 September 2022

Having approached the surgery with an issue with my aged mother I cannot fault the rapid and continued service she has received - the practice nurse that is attending to her issue cannot be better - obviously has a heavy workload but smiles through - appointments are booked in advance and so far the external consultants that she has been referred to have seen her promptly and the surgery has been proactive in acting on their recommendations - As for me I had a 5 year medical - a review and a follow up all promptly as scheduled - maybe it’s only people who want to complain that write these reviews ?????

  10. Review titled The worst surgery in Newark

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 August 2022

I have been trying to get an appointment for my daughter, been on the phone 1 hour 20 mins, number 1 in the queue for the last 50 minutes! If I could get to the surgery I would (isolating due to covid) as they seem to completely ignore the phones all together! My partner decided to test this once as he got fed up with being the first in the queue on the phone but still no one answered, he went into the surgery while still on the phone in the 'queue' the 2 receptionists were just sat there, no other patients were waiting or being dealt with. I would avoid this place like the plague, you never get a face to face appointment, let alone deal with the same doctor twice, in fact I don't think this place has any 'resident' GP's. Infuriating to say the least, then they have the cheek to say they dont tolerate rude behaviour to their staff! what about the rude behavoiur from staff to patients??
