Very disappointed with the online service. It’s what gives GPs a bad name. No appointments available to book online for nearly 2 months! I then did the online consult and it asks when you are not available for an appointment and your preferred communication. I stated the days I was at work so couldn’t take a call and would prefer a text. I received 1 missed call on a day that I had clearly stated I would not be available as I was at work. Even if I wasn’t at work, with a phone call at some point between 8.30 and 6.30 I would expect more than 1 attempt at calling if the call was missed or a time frame to expect the call. No text or follow up from the surgery so I will have to go through the whole process all over again, probably to be called at a time I have stated I would not be available again! The system needs reviewing.

Super friendly staff. The nurse in particular was lovely, understanding and supportive and helped ease all my anxieties. Never been to a better GP practice during my 9 yrs leaving across UK

My son needed to see a Dr this morning. Phoned and was advised by the receptionist to come into the practice as soon as he could. He went in, had tests done by the nurse and was sent home. By the time he arrived home, the Dr had called, discussed fully the results and a prescription had already been sent to our Chemist. Really impressed and grateful for the care, concern and professionalism of the practice.

Today is May 3rd 2023. There are no available appointments at Austen Road until June 6th in the on-line Patient Access system. That's more than one month wait for a routine appointment.

My daughter has autism & complex needs. The surgery has a strict 5 min limit on phonecalls and they just put phone down when you get to the limit We were attempting to get urgent help to prevent a trip to a-e but the receptionist stuck to her 'rule' and put the phone down dead on 5 mins leaving us with nothing. The 999 call handler, ambulance crew and a&e were all shocked by this too.

Review titled Fantastic, Helpful and Friendly Practice

I cannot recommend this Practice highly enough and this includes the entire team. Helpful, polite responses to phone calls. Prompt appointment timings, face to face if required. Friendly and interested approach. Am very lucky to be with this Practice.
