Review titled Worst system and rude receptionists
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 April 2025
I waited for my appointment and could not check in form the machine. Waited infront of the receptionist dest whilst she was gossiping about other colleagues. When I was asked I told her that I could not check-in in the self check machine she said my appointment was telephone. I said it doesn’t say telephone in the appointment invitation then she said ‘we are working on it, okay ! Next please’. I can understand it is not her fault but the communication skill was not good and made me feel uncomfortable. The appointment time said 8-8:10 but I did not get the call in the morning.

Review titled Appointment information was incorrect
Rated 1 star out of 5

I was told that I have an appointment. I went there on time. Then I was told I have a telephone appointment and go home wait for the telephone call. After 2 hours of waiting I got a text message about my blood test result. Then I did not get any call. I had booked an annual leave for this appointment. Waste of my time.

Review titled Extremely rude receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have done a Klinik today as I am experiencing ongoing health issues. This has been deemed to be an ‘acute’ issue. I have received two missed phone calls from the surgery this morning (have a 14 month old baby that uses all of my time so I missed it) to be greeted with rudeness from the receptionist when I do answer telling me ‘ you’ve not answered so I only have afternoon appointments’ and continues to talk AT me not to me about availability. I can only imagine I’ve upset her because I have missed the last two calls. Once I said I can’t do today because of child care issues I get asked ‘well what did you expect from the klinik you did’. I ask for other days because normally you get a link to book a specific date to be told ‘no your an acute case’ … so instead of help me and provide me with dates like they normally do I was just told to re submit a klinik for another time …, for an acute case! What an absolute joke. These calls need to start being recorded. I understand they will get people waste their time daily and have frequent callers/complainers. I am not one of those and rarely draw on the nhs unless absolutely necessary… I wonder why! I work personally in a position for the government and if I spoke to someone the way I was spoken to I would be disciplined unfortunately instead nothing happens and I continue to be in pain with something potentially serious …. Despite also sighting my problems have unfortunately led to mental health problems still I’m spoken to like crap with little to no regard of how that can make an individual feel or impact them. Top job!

Appointment type and location Your GP has asked you to book an appointment. Appointment type shingles (Face-to-face) All available appointments at all location have now been booked. Please check again soon, as more clinics could be added(.what was the point of sending this text when all of the above had gone)

Review titled Unable to connect the surgery
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2025
Wednesday the 5th of February I tried to go online to book an appointment and it wasn't working. I'm tried to call the surgery and a recording told me it was closed for staff training. Fat lot of good that is for me.

Review titled Perimenopause support lacking

The nurse I saw was running half an hour late at the end of the day and was rushing. I didn’t feel listened to and ended up being given the mini pill which I was adamant I didn’t want. Didn’t pick up the prescription and no further forward. Will have to pay to see a private doctor.

Review titled Poor practice
Rated 3 stars out of 5

My husband was sent an 'appointment' for a telephone review, this 'afternoon'. No one rang, when I contacted the surgery, the telephonist didn't know when it might happen. She sent a message so they might ring tomorrow, Thursday. So we have to wait for a call again. This is extremely annoying, not only is it nearly impossible to see a doctor it would appear that you won't get a call either.

Review titled When can you get an appointment!
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 January 2025
I tried to get help for a common condition by filling in the online form! I was told to contact 111 as the appointments were 10 days in advance . Is there any point to GP practices anymore? Perhaps the whole system needs replacing.

Review titled Receptionist in the wrong job
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sarah Dawes - Posted on 01 January 2025
I came to the surgery for an appointment and the receptionist was such a rude woman. Her arrogant attitude and making snide comments under her breath to her colleague about my inquiry was unbelievable. I think she was annoyed because I interrupted her chatting about Christmas activities with her colleague. Surely part of her role is to be polite and helpful and if she doesn’t want to do that then a people facing job is not for her. She made my experience all the more uncomfortable and unpleasant and I do not wish to deal with her ever again. Looking at other reviews I can see other people writing about rude reception staff. Perhaps the practice manager and partners should look into things. In my visit your receptionist let the practice down and is giving it a bad name.

Review titled Rude Receptionist
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Suzy - Posted on 30 December 2024
Elderly patient who is not IT literate came to the surgery to make an appointment and was told by receptionist to "Make an appointment online", When the patient explained she struggled with using the internet and was there an alternative way the receptionist said "Well 36 000 other people manage to make appointments on line" and "most people have someone to do it for them". The receptionist did not want to make the appointment for her and just reiterated the patient would "need to make it on line". As a result the patient has gone away without the medical attention she requires. The receptionist's actions and words lack compassion, care or helpfulness. If you find navigating the internet difficult, this practice may not be for you.
