I'm 78 and moved to Southport in 20006. I've previously moved around a lot and this is absolutely the best practice I've ever used! The receptionists, the doctors, and the nurse are all friendly, helpful and very efficient. I had a heart attack a couple of years ago and they got a pacemaker implanted in me which has kept me feeling well. They also automatically arrange an annual review, and the nurse who conducts this is of the same high caliber. I know they are very busy, but they always find the time to see how they can help. Today I got a text asking me to contact them to arrange this year's review. Although she was very busy, when I phoned the receptionist took the time to ensure I was currently well, and found me a time for the review. I cannot praise this surgery enough. Some years ago I went with stomach pains. The doctor not only diagnosed appendicitis but also took me to the hospital himself, and he ensured the staff there were aware of what was wrong, and that I needed urgent treatment. I cannot praise their dedication and effectiveness enough. I'd just like to offer them all a heartfelt thank you.

I moved up her from Essex and before moving was unwell and in hospital for a month since moving up here the doctor and reception team have been fantastic in looking after me i have received such great care and attention from such a fantastic team if everywhere was like this there would not be a problem with the NHS heath service

After a shorth spell of ill health and recent hospital stay and also treatment of an ongoing medical condition, I cannot fault the service given to me by Ainsdale medical centre. The care and attention I have been given has been second to none despite the pressures facing the NHS at this present time so a big thank you to all concerned.

When you call this surgery, you are met with a series of instructions that the staff must be treated with respect and not abused in any way. Agreed .... this should always be the case. Has it occured to this practice however that the patient should also be treated with the same degree of respect ? In the first instance, it is always extremely difficult to get an appointment with a GP here. It is now becoming increasingly difficult to get assistance with prescriptions. My recent prescription could not be dispensed by my local pharmacy due to low stocks. The pharmacist whilst trying her best to assist suggested that I return to my GP to see if an alternative medication could be investigated. The receptionist on this occasion was, abrupt, unhelpful, offhand and offered no guidance whatsoever. Given that the medication was for hypertension which is aggravated by stress, the receptionist actually contributed to increasing my anxiety and stress levels with her lack of empathy. Once again as a result of this surgery's inflexibility, I was thrown back on my own resources to resolve the issue without the surgery's support. The pharmacy were excellent and offered the support which you would normally expect from a GP's practice.

I'd just like to comment on the excellent service I have been provided by at Ainsdale Medical Centre. The Doctors, Nurses and Administrative staff have been so kind and welcoming in what is a difficult time. Please continue the good work.

The doctor that I saw on 12/10 seems to have given me wrong advice. Since speaking with a more experienced doctor, necessary tests were put in place and the advice given was completely the opposite to that given 2 days previously. This has caused me great concern and anxiety which I feel has added to the symptoms I was already experiencing. I would like to add that a nurse, that I have since had an appointment with, was extremely helpful and very sympathetic.
