    My partner is midway through her pregnancy. I personally handed documents given by the hospital to the front desk of the GP at the start of my partners pregnancy. However, due to admin/clerical incompetence, the doctor/gp was not aware of the pregnancy until last week 21/11/2023 because of a UTI that was found by the hospital. This is absolutely shocking and I put it down to the front desk. On my experience, when I gave the documents to notify the GP of my partners pregnancy, all I could hear at the back of the front desk was staff talking about my partner and no attention on what needs to be done. Disappointed, being in a majority Bengali community, with a majority Bengali staffed GP service, I would assume that pregnancy cases and other high risk cases will not be taken lightly. But I was wrong. Welcome to Aberfieldy Practice. Not taking patients seriously since 2022

    I've been registered with Aberfeldy for almost 3 years and in all that time I have only had great interactions. The two nurses that I see, are legends - warm and friendly and very proficient. All of the doctors have been very helpful. Sometimes they give support and other times a medical telling off - either way, you feel cared for and that they are looking after you. Special mention to the administration team who were instrumental in getting all my records transferred and in ensuring the process went so smoothly. Most recently I have needed a vital medical letter and both the doctor and the secretary handled this promptly, with huge support being offered to me. Only minor downside - sometimes the phone doesn't connect. A systems glitch which will be resolved I am told :-) All in all, you have an amazing surgery here and everyone takes a genuine interest in what for many of us is vital - our health.     Always received outstanding care from all staff. However, in June 2023 I visited for I was feeling seriously unwell, whilst I was in the practice my condition escalated and immediately I had the full support whilst waiting for the ambulance which they had called for, everyone working in the practice, the staff in reception to the Doctors at the practice did everything they possibly to help me stay calm, helping me feel the best I could under the situation I was in until the ambulance arrived to take me into hospital to receive further investigation and get the treatment that I needed. I couldn't find anything to find fault in them, for they scored much more than 100% in my heart and mind for the way in which they cared for me.

    Rang up asking to see a doctor and a doctor rang me back the same morning to triage my symptoms over phone. They then offered me an in person appointment the next day. Staff and doctor were polite and professional. Took time to listen to me. Overall very satisfied with the practice, their timeliness and overall patient experience. Based on this and other interactions with the practice I would highly recommended them.

    I had no problem contacting the surgery to make an appointment. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to only discuss one issue and felt that the doctor was interested in me holistically rather than attempting to limit the appointment to fill minimum box-ticking standards. I Observed that the surgery is well run and organised.

    I've had to join a fair few GP practices in my time but the Aberfeldy Practice is by far the best. The medical staff are efficient, knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care about their patients. When I tell friends or family members about the services received (including same day appointments and callbacks) they are surprised and impressed. Really appreciate their efforts, cannot begin to explain what a huge difference it makes to have a GP practice which you can genuinely rely on. Keep up the good work guys!

    I had to book an appointment on behalf of my mother and also assist her with attending the appointment. Call queue times aren’t as long compared to other practices I have experienced. The doctors call back surprisingly very quick. They were very detailed, considerate and empathetic with their calls and face to face appointment. I didn’t feel as though my mother was rushed with her consultation and she was offered other optional services to help her. The doctor showed a lot of care and sensitivity towards my mother who had language barriers, and made effort to understand her clearly. Overall the experience was very pleasant and reassuring. One improvement would be to make more use of the reception seating space by placing more chairs to sit on. Seems a little odd to have so much space and just have a few chairs dotted around.

    I am writing this review because i am in pain and don’t want to call my Gp for help because of my unpleasant experience i had a phone conversation with the doctor i got a call back and try to explain my situation and the doctors don’t even check my medical records he said to me we can’t help you with this and said that if you need any proscriptions we can send you the nearest pharmacy I just feel so sad I have been taking about chronic diseases it’s affecting me overall my life he don’t even ask me anything about my situation i am really disappointed my previous Gp was amazing thanks
