  1. Review titled Amazing receptionist!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 February 2024

I had to call my GP practice today (Abbeyview, in Crowland) the receptionist was amazing. She didn't make me feel I had to rush, she was calm and friendly. She was very knowledgeable and helped me. Gave me so much advice and was generally lovely! Nothing was too much trouble, as I had several queries! Absolutely made me feel reassured and happy!! I'd definitely recommend the surgery, all the staff are so compassionate and you feel luke nothing is too much trouble. With everyone so quick to complain these days I felt I had to comment on what a positive experience I had not only today but whenever I call my surgery!

  2. Review titled Declining

Rated 1 star out of 5

Cannot access patient access, cannot get a face to face appointment, no follow up to existing symptoms, cannot get through on phone lines and now cannot order repeat medication 'until after 12'. On the plus side the nurses and reception/admin staff cannot be more helpful

  3. Review titled Non-existent Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Appalling, non existent service. Most of the time I cannot get through to even get in a queue for a receptionist call back. That's not a medical call back, just reception asking what I want….then if I’m lucky enough to get in the queue for a receptionist call back, there are no appointments available. These aren‘t even face to face, just a phone call. How it’s possible to accurately diagnose people over the phone is beyond me. Having spent a week in hospital with CT results showing enlarged lymph nodes in both lungs, and needing to speak to a GP for follow up on medication, treatment plan, next steps etc, I can’t get to even speak to a doctor. Well, I can if I want to wait 10 days for the next available pre bookable appointment. Even going through very personal medical information with receptionist makes no difference to being fast tracked. Her hands “are tied” and no appointments will be released unless you go via their totally inadequate queue system in the vain hope of being one of the very few lucky ones to be granted a telephone call. This used to be an extremely well run and efficient practice, but since COVID is no longer fit for purpose. The best thing would be for existing patients to try and register elsewhere.

  4. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Leon Reed - Posted on 05 September 2023

Throughout the day, I made a total of 13 calls to the surgery, but unfortunately, I couldn't even get into a waiting queue on the phone. I began to suspect that there might have been an issue with their phone system, so I decided to visit the surgery in person. Upon my arrival, the receptionist expressed her sincere apologies and acknowledged that it was indeed disgraceful that I couldn't get through, highlighting that this has sadly become a norm nowadays. My ankle has been causing me a great deal of pain, making it extremely difficult for me to walk. However, I was disheartened to learn that the earliest available appointment with a doctor is not until the 15th of September, which is a whole 10 days away. This level of service is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable, and it pains me to think that the surgery is subjecting patients to such prolonged suffering. They should be deeply ashamed of allowing patients to endure such extended periods of pain without prompt attention.

  5. Review titled Usless

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called on the 09.05.2023 to get an appointment as I have a server and painful ear infection and need antibiotics. Was 28th in the que. Had a call back to say no appointments call tomorrow. Tried to book online. Available appointment - 12.06.2023! Called, as directed to, at 8.00am on the 10.05.2023, was 4th in the que. Then got cut off. Re-dialed and the number and was blocked. Finally got through at 8.10am. 28th in the que. Had a call back 4 hours later to be told there are no appointments and to attend the hospital. I work full-time and do not have time to sit in a hospital to be told what my local GP can tell me. I live 35 minutes from my nearest hospital and 10 minutes from my GP. Shocking service!
