    I always address All staff at Abbey as ‘Angels’ and that’s because they are! They are compassionate , empathetic, so friendly, considerate, patient, polite, nothing is too much trouble for them to deal with, they listen, they act immediately even though they are soooo busy, yet I never ever hear any gripes and groans and certainly Never have I experienced any Negative Attitude. I know they are all up against time and yet they make me feel Un rushed and I’m able to talk without being ushered on quickly, so I do feel I always have their full attention. When one is poorly or having problems like for me with my memory issues and a rather long list of more ha ha , they always show complete empathy and talk me through everything until I’m clear. I can not fault Any of the staff at Abbey. I am sure they deal with irate patients and yes, some people just think they can offload and be rude to the first person who answers the phone and others…. Their Wrong!! I wish they would take a breath, pause for a moment and realise that they are speaking with a human being/ staff member who wants nothing but to provide thee best service to them. The abuse they receive at times is Not Fair, Not Warranted and absolutely not Acceptable. Just be nice, and as the saying goes, ‘don’t bite the hand that feeds you’ and you’ll find you get a lot further, a lot quicker. I’m just nice all the time as that’s me but I do feel for the Practice as I feel they are like friends to me and it’s hard for me to even think that they are subject to such treatment and behaviour. We all feel stressed and upset when we are poorly and in pain but take a moment to just think how you’ll address that person who is there on the end of the phone ready to Help you. I can not recommend Abbey Medical Practice enough. Keep up the outstanding work you all do daily. Take care ’Angels’ x

    Today the ladies on the telephone were great, I needed an urgent blood test they sorted this were kind compassionate to my situation and are a credit to the practice Thank you

    After a delay with a prescription being issued I ended up quite flustered at the prescriptions desk needing to be at an all day hospital appointment 20 miles away in 40 minutes. The person at the desk was simply amazing, took my details. Heard exactly what I was saying and looked me straight in the eye and said "it will be at the chemists late this afternoon". Sure enough the prescription was there but what impressed be most was the certainty I was given. This wasn't "we'll look into it and check with the doctor" this was very much "don't worry it will be fixed". I made my appointment with 15 mins to spare and got back to the chemist just before closing to collect my prescription. Honestly can't thank the person enough for completely taking ownership of the situation.

    Was able to to book an emergency appointment with doctor at short notice. On Thursday 6th February. The reception was amazing. She managed to get me an appointment. When I arrived to book in she was so kind and supportive to me. Thankyou.

    Rang and spoke to one of the secretaries about knee referral. She was so helpful and understanding and sorted my appointment for me. For some reason though I’m not allowed to mention her name in the feedback. If I could give 11 out of ten I would! Thank you

    Anima system seems unnecessary when you just have a quick question/enquiry. Text from pharmacist saying I had high cholesterol. Prescribed statins which affected me badly. Just need alternative/ or another blood test. I will be abroad when I get a call back.

    We joined the practice in 2020 and the care has always been outstanding from front of house right through to the drs. Most recently I arrived at the surgery for a routine appointment and felt very unwell on arrival. I calmly advised the lady on the front desk and she helped me. She spoke to the drs and the nurse and she checked on my regularly and kept me informed in the progress. The nurses who helped me and the dr who helped me couldn’t have been kinder and above all else no one made me feel like I was an inconvenience.

    Calling reception today I spoke to one of the receptionist, that is always professional. Giving you the opportunity to explain what your concerns are. She is kind patient and sensitive to one’s needs. Our family consider ourselves very fortunate when we speak to her.. as we feel confident that our requests are dealt with professionally and with kindness. We all know how difficult that can be at the moment with everything being so stretched. Many Thanks.
