I recently attended Lewisham Dental Practice where I found the receptionists to be cheerful, friendly and efficient. The waiting areas and surgeries were spotless and user friendly. My dental treatment was fully explained, including options. My recent visit was exceptional: my dentist had a wonderful approach - really listened carefully and was very understanding. Truly, I have lived in three different countries and can confidently say that I have never received better treatment.

I never usually leave reviews but I've found everyone at the practice helpful and caring. I was registered with the dentist with no delay, given an appointment the next day with a really helpful dentist who explained things clearly and calmly, and had a follow up dental health consultation a few days later. I was really surprised to get such good care after bad experiences with dentists in the past. Everyone working here deserves a massive raise.

I attended an emergency appointment at this practice when a front post crown fell out the night before. My call was answered quickly and I was offered an appointment later that day. I was seen on time and the dentist was very efficient in assessing the problem and gave me some options for what could be done in relation to my ongoing treatment plan at the practice. I chose to have it re cemented and so this was done carefully and precisely. The dentist was kind too. I suffer with an anxiety disorder that can make the dentist a daunting place but I felt at ease and in good hands for the short but effective appointment. Thank you

Lewisham Dental Practice is generally a good place to attend. Its location is convenient (in the very centre of Lewisham town centre) but there is no parking (which isn’t personally an issue for us). Booking is relatively easy - just phone up and there’s usually a slot at some point which suits. This time me and my 2 young daughters were only going for a check up - I’m not sure what would happen if there was an emergency. The dentists we have seen have been generally good. The only issue has been that we seem to be given a different dentist each time. This time our dentist, whilst charismatic and seemingly knowledgeable, was quite “heavy handed” with my daughters, and their manner was quite abrupt. We have seen dentists there before who have been really friendly and more gentle with the children. Our dentist this time also assumed that we didn’t want to be there, and kept calling my daughters “brave” for going to the dentist! I know some people are scared of the dentist but I’ve always tried to instill in my girls that going to the dentist is a good fun and a positive experience. I hope the dentist’s attitude hasn’t changed their minds! I was pleased that the dentist gave me an x ray when they saw something they were a bit concerned about - in the end it was nothing, but showed the dentist was thorough. I was recommended additional treatment but the dentist did not “over-sell” which was good. Overall a good experience.
