    I visited whiston A&E department with a foreign object in my eye. The day previous I had visited a different hospital A&E and they were unable to remove the object. Being a bank holiday weekend it would have been 2 days until I could be seen by an eye clinic. Thankfully Whiston A&E happened to have an ophthalmologist working on the department on the day I visited. He managed to remove the object in less than 2 minutes. I am extremely grateful to all the staff who helped me, especially the triage team and the ophthalmologist. You're a credit to your hospital.
