The building was closed due to short staff, we followed nhs guidlines, going to pharmacy fiest then 101 whi advised to go to the walkin centre when arrived it was closed. We were informed over the intercom to go to the wakefield walk in centre or wait until next day to contact own GP.

  3. Review titled Rubbish Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I attended the St Geroge's Walk In centre for a possible broken ankle, to find it locked up with no access. Tried ringing the number given, over 3 hours and 102 dials, when I got the line to ring about 20 times, nobody answered it and it cut me off. Is it any wonder that A&E depts are overwhelmed when the minor injuries units are so poorat answering the phone.

  4. Review titled Understanding & Compassionate Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I'm a student nurse on placement and referred a service user who had mental health support needs to St George's. I explained the service user's mental health support needs for the appointment during triage and the staff member was empathetic and understanding and put things in place to support the individual. The support staff who went with the service user also fed back very positively about the experience.
