From referral to surgery was less than three weeks. That is amazing. The staff are all very professional and kind. I felt at ease, even though I was very apprehensive. The surgery was quick and painless and my whole experience was just brilliant.

What a friendly and professional practice SpaMedica Epsom are. The care and attention I received at the clinic, before, during and after my cataract operation, was a credit to all the staff, from the warm welcome on my arrival and the brilliant surgeon and his team. Thank you all and do most certainly recommend your service.

My first NHS cataract surgery was in August, the second in October. I’ve just had my post-op all-clear. The service from Epsom was brilliant from beginning to end. From the doorman who brought us coffee and biscuits, to the cheerful lady who checked me in at Reception, the nursing and optometry staff and the surgeons - cannot recommend them all highly enough. Thank you so much to all at SpaMedica Epsom, to Specsavers for referring me and to the NHS for enabling this to happen.

I cannot be more complimentary about Spa Medica at Epsom. I was referred by Specsavers, Sutton & from the initial consultation where a very friendly gent that met me at the door by my name to the great reception staff, optometrists & surgeon, everyone was so friendly & professional, making what is quite a daunting experience absolutely fine. I was able to choose a quick surgery date and on the day of the surgery, the nurses & surgeon explained the procedure, putting me at ease & even the stages of the 15 min cataract surgery was explained by the surgeon which helped relax me. I did have some concerns a few days after surgery as I was still experiencing blurred vision so called the helpline & within hours an optometrist called me & explained that this was very common, which eased my concerns. A few days later my vision cleared & is now very clear now although I am awaiting my 6 week check up. In summary a great company which I would thoroughly recommend to all & only wish that more NHS services could be provided in this way. 10/10 Great Staff & Company 👍

Excellent service. I cannot praise the surgeon enough. He talked me through the whole procedure which really put me at ease. All the staff were efficient and caring. Would certainly recommend SpaMedica in Sutton Surrey

Very efficient service. Short waits for each part of my cataract assesment and operation. Friendly staff. Slight feeling of being an item on a conveyor belt rather than a patient. One minor specific criticism concerns eye drops - these came with the very strong warning that if you ran out you would have to return to Epsom for more. They were in an opaque bottle and difficult to administer accurately and the blunt warning that was reiterated twice made me very anxious about running out. I missed a couple of doses to ensure this did not happen. I'm young enough to cope with a return trip but I think an older person would have felt very intimidated.

The service from entering the building to leaving was excellent. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. I was nervous the staff took time to reassured me. I would recommend this clinic to friends and family.

I cannot praise Spamedica enough, unbelievable. I feel extremely lucky to have been referred to you. Everything happened so quickly from beginning to end. Everyone, from the two men in the reception entrance to the receptionists on the first floor, every nurse & of course the Surgeon were unbelievable. The care, kindness, support, professional treatment etc was one hundred 100%. Thank you Spamedica, l cannot put into words just how grateful l am to Everyone involved. I also have to say a huge thank you for my rescheduled appointment when a clinic took place on Saturday 30th Nov due to your poor Surgeon being ill on Monday 25th Nov. That was very much appreciated being fitted in so soon. Thank you again so much Janet Chivers

This was my second cataract operation at Spamedica, Epsom. The whole experience was very positive, everything was explained really clearly. It was only 3 weeks from my optician referring me and having the operation. Really pleased with the results and have had no problems at all.
