    The 10 people in the team work together so smoothly and with great care of each individual patient to meet their personal need. Clarity of speech was most important as hearing loss could misinterpret instructions. An excellent service and thank you to each clinician/nurse/admin member of the team.

    I was a nervous patient and needed a lot of reassurance. The staff were kind and this helped a lot. The worst thing was the very long wait from arriving until having the operation which did nothing to calm me. People working there are familiar with all the procedures but for those of us who are just coming for an operation it is scary. If something could be done to improve this situation it would be excellent. Thank you.

    Initially the booking for the cataract was fine and the front of house staff were always polite and well organised. The operation proceeded ok although they completely failed to mention as his carer I could accompany him on his journey. Whilst waiting in the waiting room several people having second eye operations were scathing of their surgeon compared to the first one.The medical staff seemed to be very variable but as you had no idea who was operating has no way of feeding this back. Something clearly went wrong behind the scenes leading to a massive delay which lead to an hour delay for our volunteer driver,no explanation given. Only when the nurse came to give my father his drops did she realize I was there and call me in. How an elderly person on their own could have coped I had no idea. After weeks of drops he was referred back to his optician,no idea why as they failed to send his scan so all he could do was refer him back to the clinic. When he did go back once again it was a series of meetings with different staff who did not identify themselves,wore no badges showing who they were.So you had no idea if you were talking to a medic or a technician. Clearly there was no proper risk assessment done as my father at 93 with very poor eyesight was hustled in and out of rooms,in and out of dark corridors at random times with no one taking account of trip hazards pupil dilation or anything which could have caused a fall. At one point he was left groping for the door handle as the technician failed to get up. Because the waiting area was crammed every time we had to find new seats in a poorly ventilated area where elderly vulnerable people were crammed in. Another trip another 3 hours wasted this time even more drops two drops four times a day to be fitted in with all his other medication.Once again no check on how he could do this,both drops needing to be done in order in the same size bottles with only a colour difference for someone who can't see! This time the door was broken,entry via the car park,no safe pedestrian access,rough surface, no risk assessment. No improvement,so back again, same tests more people crammed in despite covid and flu season started. Even two patients being examined in the same room, shortage of equipment, poor communication another 3 hours wasted We pulled the plug at that point. In summary communication was poor everything going through a call centre, when they said they'd get the clinic to call they didn't. Huge risk to elderly patients due to poor risk assessments and uninterested staff. Failure to identify anyone even professionals, manager of the day so you could never chase them up. Stalling tactics to get multiple visits even when no difference would occur. Finally trying to get the report out of them to get my father registered as blind required a lot of chasing and shouting. Like all private healthcare its throughput and money making.I wouldn't use them myself as they don't care.

    All staff we had dealings with were so polite, friendly and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make my husbands Cataract journey easy. Thank you.

    I cannot recommend SpaMedica enough for cataract surgery. I had the procedure for the second time yesterday and on both occasions the service I received from every member of the team was exemplary. I was extremely apprehensive and was instantly reassured from the moment I arrived at the clinic. The whole experience was excellent, the procedure was quick and painless, and I am beyond delighted with the results.

    I found the whole experience completely painless. From the initial examination there were wonderful and pleasant dedicated staff. Everyone with a smile on their face and a pleasant disposition. My thanks especially to the surgeon for his Pre op briefing and a relatively painless procedure. My operation just two days ago and now my right eye is almost back to normal. The colours now are superb and comparison with my left eye has a stunning vibrancy. Can’t wait to get my other eye corrected. Well done all

    From reception, all way through to surgeon and post op, All staff were very caring, efficient, and thoughtful. I was a very nervous patient, but they all eased me through. Highly recommended

    From the pre-assessment to the operation, everything was well organised and efficient. The staff were all kind and supportive. They checked everything and explained the procedure. Such a great bunch of people and an excellent set-up.
