Review titled Calming and caring
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Vicki Reeves - Posted on 02 November 2022
I had a myomectomy procedure and from start to finish, at gateway G and then a couple of nights stay at the short stay unit the experience was brilliant. Its a scary time to go through something like that and every person involved was calming and caring and extremely knowledgeable and efficient with their job. Totally blown away yet again at the hero's we have working for our NHS.

Thank you for such a great review. Our staff constantly work hard to provide a great service to patients and this review is another testament to the work that they do. I will of course pass this comment onto the staff at both gateway G and the short stay unit so that they get to hear it. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best in your recovery.

Review titled Not listened to
Rated 1 star out of 5

Visited rheumatology after experiencing swellings. The Dr read off a computer screen, told me what he thought and rushed me out handing me 2 leaflets to read . Never asked how I was feeling, didn’t make me feel like a person and definitely didn’t listen to any of my answers. In the room less than three minutes. Feel upset and confused

Arrived at 10am left at 6pm. Was left forgotten in a corridor waiting for an X-ray. Could not move as have a fractured pelvis. No ambulance to take me home. Never received any apology. Put this up before but cannot see it on this site.

Review titled Professional and caring approach
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Happy Patient - Posted on 16 May 2022
I have today attended gateway G day surgical day case unit at the treatment centre. For gallbladder removal, The reception process was easy and made the start of the journey manageable I was greeted by a health practitioner and showed through to my cubicle where the thorough induction process took place which was carried out in a calming way, as time went I was visited by anaesthesia specialists, nurses and surgeons and also the head surgeon who was to carry out the procedure. Nothing was to much trouble and I was a kept informed the whole time after as to where I was in the list. The time came to enter the theatre and see the team, clear but above all calming, encouraging and reassurance from such a professional team before long procedure done and into recovery caring and welcoming. I can’t praise the staff enough totally dedicated, professional with the can do approach! A credit to the NHS and the Queens medical centre Thank you!
