Process well explained by staff at all stages. Everyone reassures you and puts you at ease. The admin staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. My consultant was very clear and precise about the procedure and helped me understand to a certain degree but I did find I wasn’t too sure of what the differing outcomesI would be when I chose a multi focal lens for my second procedure and now I’m not sure it was a better choice since my vision at middle and long distance is blurred and I may need to wear glasses which is what I wanted to avoid. I feel that another review of the treatment should be arranged maybe 3 weeks from the second cataract operation to answer any issues that you may have found once the lenses have settled.

I had both eye surgeries for cataracts done at Newmedica Newcastle and from start to finish everyone was supportive and I felt at ease the whole way through. I’ve had no issues during or after both surgeries and is highly recommended this practice, 5 Stars.

I recently had cataracts removed from both eyes and new lenses inserted at Newmedica, Newcastle. I have to say that I was very impressed with the efficiency of the staff and the clean modern and spacious building. It took me over an hour to get there by car but it was well worth it! I didn’t feel a thing during the operations and all the staff I met were courteous and caring. I would recommend Newmedica to anyone who is referred to have cataracts removed. Thank you.

I attended Newmedica, Newcastle upon Tyne for cataract surgery. From the moment we walked in for the pre assessment right through until we walked out following the post surgery check, the staff were courteous, caring, reassuring, professional and a pleasure to be looked after by. Definitely a five star rating

This was my first eye cataract procedure. I can not praise the Newmedica medical staff highly enough. They were kind, friendly, empathetic and very considerate and fully explained the procedure in advance. I felt very reassured by the professionalism and proficiency shown me. My visit was relaxed and mostly discomfort free and my anxieties about an eye procedure were allayed. A great experience. Thank you

The Newmedica centre in Newcastle is a very nice place. I was well looked after and the staff and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend them to family and friends. I will be having my other cataract surgery shortly and will feel more relaxed knowing I'll be well looked after.

I have just had my 2nd cataract done today. I was really worried about the first one as I was extremely nervous. All of the staff here were so unbelievably helpful. They were all really friendly and put me at ease as much as they could. The experience was unbelievable. Looking back I don’t know why I was so worried. The surgeon was wonderful. I cannot praise the whole team enough. I can only say that I cannot recommend Newmedica at Newcastle highly enough. A truly wonderful place.

I was treated like a king from the moment I went in to the moment I had my surgery by everyone and when I left exactly the same and rang me the next day to see if I was ok cannot thank the staff for all there help they were awesome

I can't recommend this practice enough. All staff were caring, friendly, very informative about the process from beginning to the end. I was very nervous but felt reassured all the way through and would definitely recommend.

Everyone was friendly and nothing was a bother . Everything was explained in detail and every aspect of the procedure explained. The whole procedure was around an hour and all aftercare explained in detail. Overall nothing could have been done better.
