There is a noticeable drive for an efficient service from the team at Newmedica, no waiting no hanging about, you are given clear instruction every aspect of what is going to happen and your choices . Which is a certainty a model the NHS could do with a a lot more of, it’s not about efficiency! the team have also kept the personnel kind natured aspect of service, every single member of staff who I met was kind caring and knowledgeable and it didn’t feel like I was going through the well oiled machine that it was, I felt like a person that was getting the help I needed with my eye, and I did, this joint working relationship between the NHS and bespoke service provider in their field of expertise works.

Staff are fabulous. Everything is explained in detail. Very professional. Very well looked after in Theatre . Very reassuring, and put me at ease

Very pleasant staff made the experience comfortable. Had the pre assessment part done on the same day. This made it easier with the long travel journey.

I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience with Newmedica Eye Health Clinics and Surgical Centres - Newcastle Upon Tyne . On March 21st, 2024, I underwent cataract surgery on my left eye, and from start to finish, the entire process was nothing short of exemplary. The pre-surgery appointment was impeccably organized, with modern equipment and highly skilled professionals conducting thorough tests. Their friendly demeanor and clear communication instilled confidence in me, and I felt comfortable signing the consent form after discussing the surgery date. One aspect that truly stood out was their consideration in allowing me to choose the specialist for my procedure. This personalized touch made me feel valued as a patient. The reminders leading up to the surgery date were appreciated, as they ensured I was well-prepared. On the day of the operation, any anxiety I had was swiftly alleviated by the caring and competent nurse assistant. Their reassuring words and demeanor worked like magic, easing any apprehension I had. The surgery itself was conducted flawlessly by a remarkable doctor who took the time to explain the procedure and address any concerns I had. I was escorted to the operating theatre where every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring a seamless and pain-free experience. Overall, I cannot recommend Newmedica highly enough. I am sincerely grateful for the outstanding service I received and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. From the day that I my optician referred me to Newmedica, until the day that my YAG laser capsulotomy was done, was only 19 days. I could not have hoped for a more speedy service. The staff on Reception, the ophthalmologist and the laser consultant were all very friendly and they thoroughly explained everything I needed to know - a wonderful service!

I was made to feel very relaxed as soon as I walked in. The staff were very professional but really friendly. The treatment went very well and I never felt any pain. The result is wonderful, I can see very clearly out of my eye, Wonderful, thank you so much
