  1. Review titled Disgusting treatment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Marie Butler - Posted on 05 February 2024

I attended hospital to rule out cancer of the uterus and was sent for an ultra sound scan, all went great up until I got into the room! The lady introduced herself and the name of a male and said “we will be doing the scan today” the male proceeded to insert the probe and was looking at the screen, the female then proceeded to say things like “don’t move it too fast it will go off and you will have to start measuring again” and “show me where the ovaries are” alongside other interruptions, she then put her hands over his hands to guide him to where he should have the camera!!! It was then I realised he must have been a trainee. I was never asked if I was happy for a trainee to even be present never mind do the procedure. When I asked “is this normal, should it take this long?” The lady said yes nearly done now and took over. I was so distressed when I left that when I got back to women’s health care for the remainder of my treatment I broke down! Women’s health care were 100% with everything they did and I would like to thank them.

  2. Review titled Dismissive Doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 May 2023

My experience with a Doctor was apalling. The doctor was not interested in explaining the procedure and involving the patient on what she wanted to do. For a sensitive department and role, compassion and patience is required in your daily iob

  3. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kelly Hepburn - Posted on 19 April 2023

After recently spending 8 days in hospital I can’t not fault or thank all the members of staff on m1/m6 enough for everything they did for me while I was there. Every Nurse, Student Nurse, Health Care Assistants, Domestic even the Bank staff they literally went above and beyond not only for me but for the other patients that were in the same bay as me. We are so lucky to have the nhs and free access to health care, I don’t think the staff get enough appreciation or gratitude for what they do. m1/m6 staff you are all amazing thank you for looking after me like you did!!

  4. Review titled Exceptional Standard of Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jill Hirst - Posted on 14 April 2022

I recently became an inpatient at RBH via A&E, before being moved to F3 ward and then to M6. I have nothing but praise for the all the staff involved in my care. This includes admin and reception staff, nurses, HCA's, physiotherapists, doctors, consultants, domestic staff and so on. The standard of care was exceptional in that it was compassionate, professional and effective. Despite the pressures of an insanely busy A&E department, and staff shortages, the standard of care never faltered. The individuals and teams involved in my care made a frightening experience a more tolerable one and I would like to thank all those involved, who together work incredibly hard to offer the best service for their patients. All too often people find it easy to complain about poor service, yet I found no reason whatsoever to be dissatisfied with my experience. Thank you once again.
