Reception and triage seen to quickly but a consultation took well over 4 hours which exceeded their own board times of 3 hours 15 so their targets are only there for pretending to meeet their targets ???

  2. Review titled Treated well

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Attended today. Was expecting to be there hours and treated by unpleasant people. This was due to previous experiences by myself and other family and friends. What a pleasant surprise I had, the receptionist was pleasant, the triage nurse was also very nice. I was then seen by the injury specialist who was also a very pleasant man, who explained everything to me about what was wrong and how to treat the injury. I was there 50 minutes from start to finish. This was NHS working well. I came out of the Polyclinic very impressed. I then thought, I shouldn't be so impressed, yes they did very well but this is what our NHS services should be like all the time. We have been so brain washed to be glad if we're treated within 4 hours our expectation of what to expect on a hospital visit have lowered. We need to have this standard of treatment all the time. It is obtainable if it is run by competent people. Thanks again to the staff working this morning at the Polyclinic, you are the NHS at its best

  3. Review titled Not fit for purpose

waiting over 5 hours for simple check up is painful. The place should not be open as it cannot keep up with the demand. Would be better closing it and moving the one doctor somewhere else as the wait time just frustrates everyone

  5. Review titled Turned away

Rated 1 star out of 5

Went there with my sister for her broken leg and just turned away with reason "oh we not taking any injuries".there was only 4 patients was waiting. We went at 5 and they are open till 8pm. So in 3 hour they will only treat 4 patients? Felt.like they just didn't want to take us. Very rude and no sympathy at all.

  6. Review titled Ridiculous service. Don't bother

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely ridiculous service. They have to complete an assessment before you are seen and make you wait forever. I waited over an hour in the que only to be told there isn't anyway in the room and there waiting on somrone to come through. No communication whatsoever or compassion to ask people to sit down. There was a lady with a baby infrony and an elderly woman. All of which were made to wait over an hour. Receptionist sitting around twiddling their thumbs not saying anything or helping in anyway. Some information would help as oppose to making people wait hours on end...

  7. Review titled Not ,'Great practice'.

Full marks for parking. Sadly, my appointment with the nurse to remove my stitches was unnecessarily unpleasant. Doubtless this nurse is skilled at stitch removal but needs to develop speaking and listening skills. The nurse may have been having a bad day and I don't want to be too harsh, but maybe some training on social skills is needed. On the positive side, I saw some helpful health professionals at Queens Hospital later who demonstrated the value of clear and caring communication and how this impacts on practice.
