Firstly I have to say the phlebotomist ladies are wonderful and very caring. I am a cancer patient and need a regular blood tests each months before chemotherapy , but it is not always possible to get an appointment. It can’t be booked at the time I had one as it is too early , but week before there are no app left and I have to drive to LRI to have blood taken there.

Thank you so much for taking the time to put your comment on the NHS comments page. I am terribly sorry that you have had problems booking your blood tests and can completely understand why you would want to have these done locally. I have raised your concerns with the Sister and Service Manager for Hinckley outpatients who will be looking at the system to see if we can make it more user friendly.

This month I have had reason to deal with both of the above departments. Service has been exceptional and much appreciated. Thank You - Hinckley Hospital. I was asked to send a phone review but this is impossible on my basic mobile phone.

I was given the chance to take a cancellation for some minor surgery, took it and the op was the next day. Staff couldn't have been more caring. Appt was at 12:45 but needed to be home by 4pm some 25 miles away as expecting a call for an MRI app, so was first on the surgeon's list. Op was fine, and the post-op care was excellent. Only downside was there was nowhere for my carer to stay on-site during my 3 hour visit.

Thank you for taking the time to write and tell us about your experience at the H&D hospital. I am pleased to hear that it went well. I understand your comment about a lack of facilities for relatives. Unfortunately our coffee shop was run by volunteers and it closed at the beginning of the Covid outbreak and has not reopened again since then. I will feed this back to the landlords and see if anything can be done to re-establish a café of any type.

Staff are very friendly and look after you really well everything was explained to me before and after . Really is a great place

Had two moles removed today. The nurses and the surgeon who did my procedure were nothing but kind friendly and compassionate towards me and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was ok. The nurses also had a great sense of humour which helped my anxiety. Thank you so much to everyone who helped with my procedure today.

Referred by gp 13 th July phoned was told no appointments and someone would contact me it's now 27th September and i have still not revieved a phone call ?

Fantastic from when I got there to when I left on the 26/05/22. Staff were kind, friendly and made me feel welcome on the day surgery unit. Ensured dignity and privacy were kept and pain management 10/10, and they even stayed longer to make sure I was able to go home the same day. They all went Above and Beyond, the anaesthetist, the nurses and the nursing associate and student nurse!
