  1. Review titled Dirty and dangerous

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was referred to ED by urgent care on a Friday afternoon with suspected sepsis. I had to push for treatment within the 'golden hour' and was informed that they were busy. The two rooms I was in were dirty, with blood on surfaces in both, as well as dust and other people's rubbish. I had no observations taken for 3 hours after admission, until I requested them. Staff were only polite and helpful after they realised I work within the NHS. It was an awful experience and I'll never return to Bedford hospital for treatment

Worst ever service, not professional. Missed a call due to office work and never bothered to call to check for pregnancy appointment.

I arrived at cardiac cathertisation suite at Beedon House, was dealt with quickly and could not fault anything. The nurses were lovely, friendly and caring. I had my procedure and again the doctor and staff whilst I was having the procedure were great and telling me what was going on and what to expect. I did feel a bit stressed but wanted to say a big Thank you to all the staff for making this a stressless experience.

  4. Review titled Witnessing unprofessional and unsympathetic behaviours

I had witnessed nurses on the ward laughing/chatting away loudly whilst my best friend and family was spending time with their mum after she had suddenly died on the ward. It was unprofessional and shouldn’t have happened. One nurse particular holded the curtain stepping some way in the area where we was saying goodbye but head out the other facing the ward laughing with another colleague which I found to be disrespectful and so thoughtless!

  5. Review titled Great care again

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended Tavistock ward for day surgery. From the first point of contact early in the day to discharge the level of care, explaining and interaction from the doctor, nurses etc was exemplary. I am not a serial poster of comments but credit where it’s due. They even laughed at my “dad” jokes! Thank you all.

After slipping over and injuring my arm, I attended Bedford Accident & Emergency Every member of staff from reception, triage, X-ray and the doctor were professional, caring efficient. I really felt cared for and supported whilst I was in distress. The staff should be congratulated and I want to pass on my sincere thanks.

  8. Review titled Admission for head pain

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was recently admitted twice to Bedford hospital due to severe head pain. I was treated promptly having a ct head, LP and pain relief. I was moved to Whitbread ward. They were fantastic. The staff were all lovely and professional. I was discharged timely with my medication as instructed. A&E were extremely busy but considering my care was still of a high standard! Thank you for making me better!

  9. Review titled The Riverbank Ward, wonderful!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Our daughter was admitted for surgery on her hand today. Every single person we came into contact with was simply marvellous, they gave our daughter the time and care she deserved as all children do, and made us feel informed and at ease at all times. I am in awe of how all of the professionals manage to make The Riverbank Ward such a special place to be. We hope to not need a return visit, but, our time and experience was faultless. Thank you specifically to the ward sister whose name I am not allowed to mention, who took care of my daughter on her arrival back on the ward (from surgery recovery) and also upon discharge. Well done Bedford Hospital and thank you.
